Wowwww! World class experience!!

I was absolutely blown away by my experience here. Everything from the atmosphere to the food and service were top notch!

980 prime is level of style and class you would expect to only find in Vegas. This is definitely Colorado's best kept secret!

Special thanks to Mark, Stewart and the Executive chef Raul for ensuring everything was phenomenal from start to finish.

980 prime is by far the best restaurant in Cripple Creek. From the moment you walk in, you will be greeted with the friendliest hostess. The restaurant layout is amazing with a relaxing bar and seating area. We have visited a few times now, and every time, it has been beyond amazing. The wait staff is incredibly knowledgeable and very attentive. The food was amazing. Last time, we had the seafood souffle made table side, which makes for a great presentation. By far, our favorite part of dinner is always a hand-made smoked old fashion made table side. Spencer does an amazing job explaining the whole process and educating you all while making the best drink you will ever have. From a date n8ght to just a noght out with friends, you must indulge yourself just once here.

This place is phenomenal! From the moment we walked in we could tell it was different. As we waited for a table in this very classy establishment that we had no reservation for, we noticed Nirvana playing in the background, well it was Nirvana with a slight regae and jazz twist just like the Metallica, Green day and so many more hit we would here through our meal. Which was also outstanding and our servers and waitress couldn't have been more fluid and helpful. Thank you Makayla, Makenzie, Steven, and Emily. Everything was wonderful! I recommend the aged ribeye, if you have a drink with dinner, try the pine peak. Last but not least, Stewart, thank you for coming to check on us and share a Sparkplug (wonderful shot). It was great, and your hospitality was awesome. We will be back. I have so many pictures that this review wouldn't let me upload.

Very surprised on the quality of food! We ordered the most expensive steak on the menu for take out, and were shocked on what we received. After spending a fair amount of time trying to cut a piece off, we were expecting a “melt in the mouth experience” and received nothing close to that. After chewing for a solid minute, I knew I had to leave a review, on this $89 steak! It was a disappointment to say the least! Also, ordered lobster bisque, and the loaded baked potato, which both were average at best. I am not a food connoisseur In the least, but this was definitely not worth the price in any way, shape, or form. On the good side, the steak sauces were fantastic as well as the cheesecake!

Wonderful respite with such care and devotion to their service and quality.

After a long day of driving, shopping, walking and gambling - we were starving and ready to get off our feet.

We were given a friendly greeting at the door and quickly seated. Our server, Marion, was a breath of fresh air. She had great food and drink recommendations, super friendly and quick to get us everything we could have wanted.

Hands down best steak we have had in years, and we travel everywhere. We send our complements to Sacha for the perfect cook and two of the greatest steaks. The lobster bisque made by Beverly beat out the great bisque at the Brown Derby.

We brought desserts home and enjoyed the day after. OMG. Huge portions, light, delicate, decadent and the best taste and value.

We will go out of our way to come to 980 again and again. We will be back for another fabulous meal. Thanks to the entire team and a special call out to Marion for all she did to make our dining experience memorable.

The food was terrible. And for Valentine’s weekend, I’m truly shocked. My husband and I ordered ravioli and prime rib. The ravioli was dry, oily, and kind of gross. Didn’t eat it. The prime rib was cold and chewy. Truly the worst prime rib we’ve ever tasted. We ordered creamed corn as a side. Inedible. No flavor. Honestly cannot believe how bad it was. We tried to be kind about it when the server noticed we weren’t eating. Chef came out and I asked him if he’d tasted anything because it’s so bad and he said he hadn’t. We really tried to not complain, but we ate very little and nothing was comped. Server dropped our bill on the table and walked away abruptly. I am honestly shocked at how bad that experience was.
Update Apparently many others have had similar experiences with the food at this hotel recently. Someone in management probably needs to do something...

Best meal, drinks, service and atmosphere I've ever had the privilege to receive. We each had different dinner drinks and every one was special and tasted great. Marion was our server. Special person. A great asset to your business. Terrific personality and the perfect person to present to your customers. Superior knowledge of your food choices and makes everyone feel wanted and like you have known her forever. She was fantastically efficient and answered every question we had, and every dish came out perfectly accurate and looked gorgeous. In the kitchen was Chef Beverly and Sacha was on the grill. NEVER have I had a steak cooked so perfect, plated exactly as we asked, and also looked and tasted wonderfully. It was a fantastic experience; and, when you consider we were there very close to closing, we were not given the bum's rush. Instead we were treated liked royalty by Marion, and enjoyed every minute of our visit. Thank you Chamonix, you have set the bar extremely high. Kudos to all. Gary and Barbara J.

We've been to 980 Prime several times now and have loved it each & every time! The service is fantastic and the food is remarkable. The drinks are top-notch and even the appetizers are very tasty & filling. This is more expensive because you are getting freshly prepared and thought out food from a world-renowned chef who we can tell really cares about every detail of his restaurant; five stars!! You won't be disappointed.
