Fantastic experience and great speakeasy ambiance. The exterior is very unassuming like any good speakeasy but when you enter through the bookcase you're brought into what you'd picture a prohibition bar to look like. We went for the drinks which did not disappoint but the food was also excellent. The gnocchi was a standout starter and while the steak and lamb were great, the burger has to be one of the best in Denver. The drinks were all extremely creative while also being well balanced. The shy girl was a great take on a dry martini with a kimchi twist. The little snacks that accompanied the drink made it a ton of fun. The queen vic was also an excellent wintry cocktail and I enjoyed the chai and spiced flair. On the pricey side but worth it for the quality and atmosphere. I do not think they take walk-ins so make a reservation!

This is a wonderful establishment! I’m from Michigan, and a friend took us here for dinner while in town. And it did not disappoint. The ambiance was amazing, as was the service. And the food was spectacular! I look forward to coming back next time I am in Denver!!

Great cocktails!! I love an egg white sour but wanted something more interesting so I left it to the bartender’s choice and they did not disappoint. The food was good as well, but next time will focus fully on the cocktails.

Was this started by a couple of lawyers? Sounds temperate and long-standing - not the kind of place that people who love their tipples would flock to.

And yet, in this nondescript corner building, there is a small crowd outside.

When you enter, just behind the tiny reception, there are bookcases. I faintly wondered what the inside would look like.

So what's a teetotaler doing at a bar? Well, you don't have to drink to enjoy a conversation. Or make one.

We only had to wait a few minutes before we were ushered in - through the swiveling bookcase. How's that for an unusual entrance.

Inside it was cozy, loud, noisy and warm. Conversations sometimes cut through the music.

We got the whole experience of what the bar was about, the drinks and cocktails available.

A friendly young waiter was at hand and he seemed disappointed with my choice of an Earl Grey mocktail - told me that I didn't know what I was missing. He was right. I should have been there more than a decade ago when I did enjoy cocktails occasionally.

That was not a dampener for my companions. And one of them asked for a cocktail that included floral as well as sweet notes. Apparently, the bartender delivered. And it wasn't on the menu

So, if you want a nice friendly place where the world seems much better than the cold winds blowing outside, get here with a few friends

And don't bury yourself in a book. In this place, it's the twist in the plot

High end luxury vibe secret hidden bar vibes. Pretty big variety of drink options. Great service. A lot of fun drinks. Highly recommend this bar!

Went to Colorado for a weekend trip and we’re looking around for places to eat. My boyfriend came across this place and made a reservation.
Our server was amazing a cannot remember her name but the items she recommended us were so delicious. I honestly didn’t expect the food to be that great! We got the deviled eggs.. chiefs kiss. I got an order of the Mac and cheese it wasn’t the one with bacon or green chili. It was the 3rd option with shrimp. All I have to say is I still think about that Mac and cheese till this day. This place has to be my favorite from my trip.

Very classy spot with decent drinke and a very unique Flatbread with middle eastern tastes. Yes, you can pull the book to open the trap door. Definitely worth giving it a try.
