Played course on 8 November 2024. The staff is amazing. The pro shop, stater, cart guy "master gunz", and the lady in the snack area have great hospitality and made our golf group feel more than welcome. The course has great amenities to work in your game. A full size range with a putting and chipping green. As for the course itself, I loved the layout. It makes you think and work on shit shapes. The conditions are good as well. Nicely cut tee boxes, green fairways, well maintained bunkers and greens pretty good. Some greens are patchy and need some more attention but overall the greens rolled true. Definitely glad I played here and I plan to return. Highly recommend to all.

Bad experience with Thanksgiving buffet at the Pala Golf Resort on November 28, 2024

Alicia, Food and Beverage Manager at the Aquaterra restaurant has the very unprofessional attitude. She seated us at the bar area instead of nice dining area - see pictures below for the different ambience in seating.
We come to the restaurant willing to pay $75 per person for the elegant dining experience but had bartender waiting on us.
At first we didn’t notice but when realised that we didn’t get seated properly - I mentioned this to Alicia and she just laughed in my face.
Not sure what happened to Aquaterra restaurant. Never we will go there again.

We recently did the weekend stay and play and the golf course was in fantastic condition. Our hotel room was clean, comfortable and clearly very recently remodeled. We dined in the restaurant and the service was good. Our appetizer was baked goat cheese and out of this world delicious. The Reuben sandwich is excellent and while the hamburger looked and tasted good, it was overcooked. They took it off our bill, without our asking them to do so. The resort is close to the 15 freeway and a little loud, but the course is beautiful and we enjoyed our 2 rounds very much. If you haven't played here recently, give it a try, the course makeover is very nice.

I recently stopped by the course on a Tuesday afternoon for a walk-in tee time. Nico at the pro shop helped fit me in nearly immediately. He was very friendly and helpful. My girlfriend accidentally left her phone in our cart and he stuck around after hours to help return it to us. Great customer service. The course itself is well kept and had cold water stations ready on a hot day. Would return again.

It's just a so so course. Nothing really special and nothing really to complain about either. It's super narrow on a number of holes but ultimately doesn't play very tough. Course was in great shape and the greens are starting to take form after punching/sanding. Still overgrown and too sandy right now but looks like they will end up in good shape over the next few weeks. Rough looks like it had been overgrown but the maintenance crew was cutting it down as I played. The amount of leftover clippings was evidence enough that it needed to happen. Probably not a course that I would make the effort to drive out to just to play it again but there really wasn't anything much more to complain about. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Price was reasonable.
