My husband and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Skyline Lodge. It was so cool to be staying at the end of the road in Denali. Everyone at the Lodge was very friendly and helpful. Meals were delicious and we enjoyed the family-style approach. It was nice to visit with the other guests and share stories at the end of the day. The room was clean and comfortable. It was slightly inconvenient to walk to the other building to use the bathroom, but we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Skyline is at mile 92 in the park, so the trip in was long but very scenic. We took the camper bus and it was fine. The lodge is comfortable, the staff is very friendly, and the food was plentiful with delicious dinners served buffet style. We could also choose our own breakfast and lunch options and even take them out hiking. There are good hiking options nearby and beautiful views everywhere you look. Other guests were friendly and we enjoyed talking to them. We didn't miss having phone service or wi-fi--too much else to do! Plus, we saw the Northern Lights one night--I wasn't expecting that!

We arrived in early September. As this is located at the "end of the road" you can arrive either via the Denali Camper Bus or via Kantishna Air. We decided to ride the Camper Bus in and fly out. Loved doing both. Both were great ways to experience Denali. Our pilot, Hawk gave a nice tour and geology lesson of the Alaskan range and Denali.||||We were in Room 6. Bed and bedding was great. There are great views from the room. The lodge looks out over Moose Creek. Lots of space to sit outside or inside and enjoy the views. Beautiful. You can't see the Alaskan Range or Denali from here. But, you are a short hike (4 miles round trip) to the Quigley Ridge or you can take the Camper bus to Wonder lake and see Denali (weather permitting).||||All but one room is outside the main lodge. So, being able to navigate stairs is must. If you have someone that is not as mobile. Consider requesting in the lodge room. There are still stairs though. Just not as many.||||We opted in for dinner and would highly recommend it. The food was terrific. In addition, dining is family style with everyone at a table. So, there is lots of opportunity to interact with other guests and learn from each other about Alaska and their experiences. Breakfast is on your own with a nice continental type selection. Lunch you can raid the refrigerator for left overs or make sandwiches. If you want to pack a lunch, that is possible as well.||||The bathrooms and showers are in the main lodge (not in your room). They are well maintained, plenty of hot water. Never had to wait for a restroom or the shower. I would not let this deter me from staying here. ||||The staff was wonderful. Peter greeted us and gave the "tour". Bobbie, Matt, Jena and others were always willing to help in whatever way they could. Then there were the best staff members, the dogs (Lucky, Daisy and Coco). They were great ambassadors.||||Skyline can provide hiking poles, bear spray, insect repellent, etc. So, feel free to ask if you don't have something they probably do.||||There is no TV, cell phone service wouldn't count on it, wifi maybe. But the whole point of being at a backcountry lodge it to get away. That you can do. Disconnect and enjoy!||||Definitely recommend and would go back in a minute!

A group of 7 of us stayed at the lodge for 3 nights in July. We would all go back in a heartbeat. The lodge is in a great location with access to tons of hiking. There are beautiful views from the balconies and many comfortable places to hang out for reading and writing. ||The staff are all super friendly and helpful, recommending hikes and things to do. They even helped us get a reservation at a great restaurant outside the park for a birthday celebration after we left the lodge. Even the dogs that lived there were super. ||The food... oh my goodness... it was exceptional. Supposedly the chef is coming out with a cookbook later this year which I would buy for her lime cilantro salad dressing alone, never mind the other great recipes sure to be in it. ||If you are looking for a place with all the bells and whistles, this is not the place. There is no TV. And the WIFI was iffy. But if you are looking for a friendly, comfortable place to unplug and unwind; to be surrounded by beautiful mountains, flowers and wildlife; to enjoy friendly travelers and staff, this is the place. ||It's a very relaxed place for relaxed guests.

This is a true gem. We bussed in and flew out, would fly in both ways next time. Right now that may be the only option as the Denali road has recently been closed at Polychrome Pass. The staff was great and Matt is both an excellent artist and host. The view from the rooms is beautiful and we enjoyed talking with fellow traveler including one who flew in to the toe of Muldrow glacier and hiked out. Would love to go back anx stay either here or in Kantisna when Skyline hosts it’s music festival.

Incredible way to experience Denali. The staff is very friendly, the food was excellent, and there are three very good dogs that happily accept pats. It pays to take the camper bus either into the lodge or back it, and then take the air taxi the other way to get the full Park experience. The pilot were very professional and safe, and gave us excellent views of mount Denali on the way back. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay here in Aug of 2019. This place is very rustic and the food is EXCEPTIONAL. It was one of the best/most satisfying dinners I've ever had actually. It's at the end of the road in Denali, in a lovely remote area overlooking a valley. The staff were all very friendly. It isn't cheap but everything out in Kantishna is pretty expensive, since it's so remote.

Amazing stay in Denali. Great atmosphere and location. Could not have asked for more. Great hikes, great food, great people, fresh blueberries and clear skies. Rode bikes and panned for gold. Thank you all for a very memorable experience. Be sure and visit the art studio.
