The lights throbbed like a neon war drum, blaring over the delirious, riotous crowd that stretched into the ether, faces lost in the smear of flashing reds and strobing whites. The bass, a predatory heartbeat, stalking us all from the darkness. Somewhere in this haze, I was sure I’d find what I was looking for, though I couldn’t remember what it was. Maybe salvation. Maybe just a cigarette.

A maniac to my left was already spinning, arms raised to the heavens like a sunburned prophet at a last-chance revival. To my right, a woman swayed, eyes shut, lost in some psychedelic reverie, while behind her, a group of wild-eyed youths seemed to be howling at the lights. It was more than just sound now; it was a tangible thing clawing its way into your bones, a beast lurking in the amps, howling through the speakers.

Super FUN venue, 5/5! If you love live Blues, you've got to make time to get in here. Gets going around 10pm, show up early for seating. If you have guests from out of town you absolutely have to take them here! Right up there with Chicago and New Orleans for live, local entertainment!

We stopped by this bar, but the bartender, a guy with long curly hair, was really rude and unprofessional. His attitude totally ruined the vibe.

Locale in cui per sei sere su sette è possibile ascoltare musica dal vivo, ballare e sorseggiare birra o cocktail. Ci sono stata dopo uno dei concerti al Fillmore (sono a pochi passi di distanza) e mi ha fatto un buona impressione.

Boom Boom is quite the music space. Great drinks, nothing fancy ($8 beer pints) but unbeatable vibe.
