place is so bad. Old woman at the front with thin brows was the rudest person I’ve ever met. Had my literal passport to prove my age and she ignored me like I was a piece of garbage. Like girl you work a DOOR stop acting like you’re an A list celebrity. So rude. Never going back

If I could rate 0 stars I certainly would - I didn’t see the reviews about this place until after I went for the first time. The reviews really fit. I went this past Saturday with a few friends and we walked up to a male bouncer who was about to check our IDs and let us in. A friend of mine had an open can of white claw that was empty that she had every intention of throwing out before we entered the bar. The rest of us did not have any alcohol on us. The male bouncer was about to let us in and a female bouncer came out of nowhere and told us we each had to open a $50 minimum tab to get in. We were all shocked as it seemed like we were going to be let in by this male bouncer. I told her the can my friend had was empty and she was going to throw it out. She immediately gave us an attitude saying that we decided to walk up there with an open can. We decided to leave because a $50 cover charge to open a tab is absurd. She was very rude to us as we left saying bye passive aggressively and ushering us aside. I have read many reviews since this experience and it seems there’s a history of homophobia at this venue and I did happen to be there with my girlfriend who I’m physical with obviously (hand around her, holding hands, etc.) so I’m not sure if this pissed her off Nonetheless she was extremely rude and unnecessarily so because my friends and I were very respectful in line and we arrived at the door. I will never be going to this venue again given my own experience and the countless reviews I’ve seen not just on yelp but elsewhere on social media. You also lose money by turning patrons away by trying to cheat them out of more money. I was planning on buying a drink for my girlfriend but now I won’t be back. I’ll be telling everyone I know to never give business to this club. I hope you get shut down, especially after the racism and homophobia I’ve heard about from others.

Racism is still alive and well at this establishment. I typically do not leave reviews for businesses and realize that their clientele likely does not care about the reviews here, but this was such an upsetting experience. I would like to post this to spare any minority who might be interested in going.

I came here last night and was told by the bouncer that there was a $50 charge to enter which would "open a tab and go towards my drinks". All the meanwhile smiling and welcoming in white men for free. As the line to pay the cover backed up, (was made up of exclusively minorities) I explained that I was driving and only really there to pick up my gf and that I did not want $50 worth of drinks, but the lady at the door didn't budge. When I realized that there was going to be no choice but to pay, I handed over my card for the bouncer to run the $50 charge. She handed me back the payment device and asked me to sign when I noticed she had selected the 20% tip option for me. I asked why that was and was confused why I would tip on the cover charge - haven not been given any service, drinks or even been admitted to the bar. To which the lady responded by kicking me out of line and refusing to hear another word from me. It has yet to appear on my statement, but Im pretty sure she charged me the $60 anyways.

When we arrived to the location, the bouncer informed us that they were only letting in people from the guest list. My friends and I were content with leaving and going to a different location, but after asking the bouncer for further clarification he was extremely rude. While politely trying to regain the attention of the male bouncer, he remarked, “Why are you even looking at me right now.” The bouncers were extremely stuck up and rude when customers were simply trying to communicate with them, and exchanged inappropriate remarks amongst themselves regarding the appearance of customers waiting in line. Overall, the employees working the door seemed extremely unprofessional and high-strung regarding their status. I have never had an experience where employees at a bar had such a high ego and were so full of themselves. The male and female employee were laughing and making humorous remarks regarding the customers that were unable to come in due to the guest list. Frankly, it was rude and egoistic, and these two workers made us feel extremely degraded and dehumanized.

Like most of the reviews indicate, the staff is extremely nepotistic, judgmental, and they gatekeep hard making up fake guest lists and denying people for things as trivial as not looking hipster enough.

I came here very often for years before the pandemic, since it opened in fact. It was my favorite spot. As an artist, I even had a specific table that people named as my spot because I’d always chill there and sketch people. But since they reopened, the vibe has completely changed to this mega cringe sikverlake “Dover street” influencer club. I just drove over an hour for a party only to be turned away at the door even though the dj who was spinning was my friend and had invited me.

So, at the moment, my faith in this place is gone. And I never had a problem with hipsters, but this bs judgy members-only club vibe has killed my respect. The redeeming 1 star is because the lighting and interior is dope. But beyond that, it’s a zero stars rating for all the human aspects of it; the new “tenants” or inner circle are the worst people of LA. Tonight finally confirmed it for me.

As always, much like most of my 15 years in LA, this was a reminder of how excluded and devalued I’ve always felt because I don’t dress in rolled dickeys with high socks and penny loafers, don’t have random tiny tattoos of knives or bicycles on my hands, I don’t wear vintage Gucci sweaters, nor do I have supreme stickers on my car, my hair isn’t bleached and I don’t have an eyebrow piercing. How dare I exist? How dare I enjoy my old favorite bar.

The male bouncer denied us getting in because we drank outside the venue. Had an RSVP and still was denied. Very rude and on a powertrip. No warnings whatsoever, was instantly denied. Do not go here

Assaulted on site by bouncer. 3 punches to the head for telling the security guard not to talk to my friend the way he was talking. That night cops were called and security lied stating I spit on his face which I really wish I had. $10.000 MRI followed that night at a glendale hospital.
Owners should reach out if they have class which they don't
