Fun venue! Great local, younger crowd. Location sits directly across the street from the Pier. There is a parking lot attached, and also paid parking across the street connected to the Pier. Great nibbles, drinks, and friendly folks. Great music and surprisingly talented folks at the first thursdays open mics.

TLDR: I am sober and was served a cocktail, tried to double check to make sure it didn’t have alcohol in it, was reassured it didn’t, then later server told me that it indeed had alcohol. Would not recommend this place.

Regular version: I’ve been sitting on this review for a week now because I was triggered by this place….

I visited here with a friend last weekend, to grab a mocktail on our way back to LA. I asked our server if there were any non alcohol mocktail options that I could order, she told me that the bartender can make most of the menu items as mocktails and that she will bring me one. We ordered two drinks and a buffalo cauliflower dish.

For context, I am 6 months sober. After I had my first sip, I knew it had alcohol in it. So I walked up to the server and asked her if she was sure that the drink she served me was non alcoholic because I am newly sober. She looked over to our table for a second and reassured me that it was, and I shouldn’t worry about it. I went back to my table and I told my friend how I’m not sure how a mocktail can taste so much like the real thing, but whatever. ‍♀️ a few mins later, she comes running back to us to tell me she mixed it up, and that my mocktail indeed had alcohol in it…. I was honestly so emotional, because anyone who’s been sober by choice or for health knows how messed up that is.

it was a slow day, maybe 4 tables were occupied in total, so it wasn’t too busy to justify what happened, it was simply carelessness.

I’m honestly really rattled by this experience, and would not recommend aviation nation.

Love this place! Went for a country concert and an outdoor embroidery event. It was very fun. The staff is super friendly. There’s an outdoor area and the couches in the indoor area are all super welcoming and comfortable. The sound system was great. There was a space for people to watch and dance. Overall really great and fun experience!

My boyfriend and I stopped in early November visiting from Seattle, and we stayed in Malibu a night. I’m a big fan of AN so this was a pleasant surprise to run into! I was excited to see it driving by! Cocktails were great, loved the decor, and the bartenders were nice to talk to and helpful giving us ideas for places to go for dinner etc. Shout out to Stella and Elizabeth over in retail who were super friendly and cool, and helped me decide on some fun pieces! They gave us some little goodies to bring home to remember our trip by. Super awesome people and place. We will definitely be back!

Ambiance cosy, un peu hippies mais pas trop.
On s'assoit sur des canapés pour manger sur une table basse.
Il y a une scène avec des concerts régulièrement.
La nourriture est variés(pizza, burger, tacos, wings...), bonne et servie en quantité.
Le prix est dans la moyenne du secteur.
Il y a aussi une partie bar si on veux prendre juste une verre.
Dans la partie boutique, on trouve des vêtements type surf (teeshirt, short, casquette...) mais le prix est élevé.
C'est plus sympa,surtout en famille, que le pier qui est juste en face, même si on a pas la vue mer.
