Decent place located inside Malibu Colony shopping center. Stopped in to grab lunch, waitress recommended their Lucky’s Burger with thinly sliced onion rings, which were quite good I must say.
The burger however was just an average mediocre burger. Further, the ambiance on the terrace is quite nice, with some soft music playing and steakhouse-esque decor. Overall, a decent choice for lunch or dinner in Malibu.

Service was outstanding and presentation good, but food was overall a little bland. Everything I had needed salt desperately, the crème brûlée was gritty and the top not nearly caramelized enough. The bread in the bread basket was great and the mixed drink I tried was good.

If you want to impress someone with how much you’re spending, get some good photos for the ‘gram, or just want to do drinks over a business meeting, go here. If you want flavor in your food maybe try somewhere else.

It was a day at the beach. We were in great spirits and wanted to spoil ourselves with a nice meal. But I was afraid, despite targeting an early dinner, that we couldn't get a table and we were in beach attire with, maybe, a 4 legged friend in tow. Wow they were accommodating and in return we splurged. Mr Lucky is their signature cocktail and for gin lovers I highly recommend it. My wife loved the Chilean sea bass. I had the Papperdelle Puttanesca and it was scrumptious. We started with Oysters, oh yes, and finished with the best creme brulee I have ever tasted. Dessert was perfectly prepared in a sharable portion and washed down with an awesome espresso. I mean how many times do you get a bitter espresso to ruin the grand finale. Not here!!! I don't recommend this place as an apre beach food joint. You will want to take advantage of the fine dining experience including white cloth tables, attentive servers and be seen in the main room. It does lack some curb appeal, but don't let that lead you away from great dining. We will go back and leave the sandals at home.

I had made a reservation for my wife and myself to celebrate our family date at what I thought would be a nice restaurant. However, when we arrived, we were offered a table next to a clothing store window, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. It turned out that the clothes were hanging exactly at the level of my face as if I had sat down to eat in a closet. This was terrible. I can't understand how they could allow this when planning the seating of their clients. We asked to change the table but were informed that no other tables were available, despite there being plenty of options. Additionally, the tables were placed very close to each other, which seemed inconsiderate of the customers' comfort. I had to cancel my reservation as I found this treatment unacceptable for a reputable restaurant. This level of service would be acceptable at a gas station, but not at a restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Having now been to a Luckys in Montecito and now in Malibu. I almost prefer the one in Montecito. The layout is not crammed hard to walk between tables and had more than 2 restrooms. There was a literal line here at Malibu with 3 people waiting. I took a star off from food because of the creme Brule. It was warm and curdled. Filet Steak was delicious cooked perfectly and cannot say enough about their peppercorn sauce. Restaurant also charged a corkage fee typically above the average at $45. Meanwhile while pouring wine server spilled some of the wine.

Very Classic place, a really nice ambience.

All the staff were excellent, working hard and in a good mood.
Definitely I’ll come back!

-Porterhouse 28oz
Peter Luger style, sliced with Bearnaise Sauce.

-Molten Triple Chocolate Cake.
