Lovely lunch for a friend's birthday. The food was really good. The ribs were juicy and flavourful, the brisket was tender: some of the best I've had in a long time, the chicken was moist and tasty!
The bar-b-q sauce was served on the side, with 2 choices: spicy & regular. Really enjoyed the regular. Sweet without being cloying, and a great blend of spices.

Our sides were a choice of green salad, Mac and cheese and chili. Loved the Mac and cheese. Chili was a bit spicy, bit still yummy.

I've been here several times and honestly it's a hit or miss on the chicken but now they are giving you 1/8 chicken not 1/4!! I didn't alter this in any way, but this was pretty much just a wing!

Went with my friends last night. We decided to order the tri tip family meal which clearly states on menu comes with 4 sides & bread. The waitress showed us the list of side we could choose. We choose two salads, mac n cheese, & pasta salad. My friends ordered a beer each while we waited. The food came out fairly quick & everything was really good except my friends were still waiting on their beers. When we got the bill we noticed that it was higher than what was priced on the menu by $4. When we inquired was told salad sides were $1 extra each & the other sides were like .50c each. We’re like so what sides were we supposed to choose from that was “included with meal” told that was them but was extra also. Like what Owner said was stated on menu at bottom somewhere but none of us saw it. The waitress said she’d bring over the menu to show us. We waited another 10min but she never came back with the menu. It wasn’t like they were busy we were only other group there at the time. So we just paid & left. Also those beers that were ordered didn’t show up till the end of the meal. So we told them it too late for those & sent them back. I went on there site today to look at the menu they have online which is older & no where on there does it state extra charges for salad sides or any sides. We paid cash too so there wasn’t a fee for using credit. Be wary.. I’m seeing posts about a lot of establishments that are sneaking in “fake fees” so the server can collect bigger tips. I’m not sure this is the case because we never saw the menu again to be shown the disclaimer. When you see the word INCLUDED though on a meal description that means that’s the price it’ll be. Not sure I’ll be going back there again.

Love the food and the atmosphere but why does it take so long to get a bbq chicken sandwich or anything on the menu for that matter. Isn't bbq premade? Been waiting for 30 minutes even though my order was retaken immediately and there was only y one other table with diners. This is always the case.

I visited 101 Wine Press to catch the Garcia vs. Davis fight, and it's safe to say I left with quite a bit of disappointment.

The most significant letdown was the food. Both the tri-tip and the link were astonishingly dry, and no amount of BBQ sauce could salvage the lack of flavor. To make matters worse, the food arrived cold, and the garlic bread was strangely soft, as if it had been sitting for ages.

While the interior of the restaurant is pleasant, the service was far from the best. My friend had raved about this place, but my experience left much to be desired.

Overall, I had high hopes for 101 Wine Press, but it failed to deliver, leaving me with a disappointing memory of what was supposed to be an exciting night out.

Great BBQ, Good Drinks!! Had a slight miscommunication when I ordered my food, However the owner went above and beyond took care of it and made everything right!! Excellent customer service! 5 star rating. Thank you

The Owner's Son is a super great guy. Very good service and food here. Worth any travel distance to try them out. I come 100 miles to eat here.

Popped in here to have a working lunch and really enjoyed myself. Nick introduced himself and made me feel quite at home. Introduced me to some amazing wines from the local area. Absolutely loved the flight..my favorite was a Syrah blend from Big Basin. What a treat! Had the tri tip sandwich which was excellent.
Coming from North Salinas, this wine bar is only 10 mns away and actually closer than wine bars in Salinas as they are across town.
I'll definitely be back!
