Today I was in self checkout and I had a gift card and didn’t know how to use it because it was asking me for a pin. which this is new to me because other gift cards I would just swipe and it automatically accept it... I asked the clerk and I seen she was busy with somebody so I waited and I asked her ma’am can you help me my gift card isn’t working. She replied yes it does. Which I found it rude . I said can you help me? She replied don’t rush me! I felt confused I never knew told her to hurry up. I just asked for help . She comes and tells me what to do and says the pin in the back I look and she points and walks away . I told my self I felt stupid as I paid and walked away and she goes blah blah like trying to mock what I said . I found that disrespectful because people go through things in life and coping to me is talking to my self . If I wanted to be rude I could have talked back and told her what was her problem… I’m Hispanic and have tattoos i felt racial profiled and yes I teared up in my car I felt unwanted because of my skin color . Because I said please I didn’t ask her like I was demanding it. I have no idea why she had an attitude, Because clearly she help the lady next to me perfectly fine ( yes she was Caucasian) . Maybe I’m just going to stop shopping there for a while I felt really disrespected

I’ve been a customer here for over 30 years and the lady at self checkout is super rude after having to come over multiple times and assist for an issue Ralphs currently has with their self checkout machines which is an absolute nightmare. Telling someone they just shouldn’t come to the location is not how you handle complaints that are because of YOUR company. People have a right to
Be irritated when your machines malfunction there constantly and keep telling you to scan an item that’s already been scanned and having to constantly wait for someone to come over. Then to have to deal with attitude from the older lady at self checkout NO. Absolutely ridiculous

Ralph’s in Villa Park has friendly employees and a great selection of quality meats and produce. You will find whatever you need without having to run to another store in Orange or Anaheim. Small town feel. Convenient, clean, well stocked, reasonable prices and great selection.

I check out with my groceries and the check out man looked at my potatoes before putting it in my cart, he caught some potatoes not so good. Long story short, he gave me a 10 lb bag of potatoes for the price of the 5 lb. Super professional and kind.

August 13, 2024, a misunderstanding at the self checkout. The clerk tried to reset but I was distracted and I told her I did not need help. When I called her over to reset she made smart comments like oh I thought you didn't need my help. I told her she was rude. I went to another checkout to pay as she walked over to a clerk and started commenting on what was said. I told a clerk that was working at a checkout that she was rude, he apologized for her.
