Wife and I went on Wednesday night to listen to family member play on open mike night. Bartender was friendly and attentive. The food did not take as long as other like minded establishments. We had the Thai chili wings -grilled mind you and they were better than expected as they seemed bigger than the usual wings we would get and the Thai chili was spot on. Also ordered the tater tots and man we got ALOT and they were fresh, crispy and hot. Speaking of hot the music was hot as well. Always nice to hear talented local musicians playing as they would ok their living rooms or garages. Definitely going back soon.

I have been here before, and it's such a laid-back place. This time, I brought my puppy. The service was on their game. They offered a dog menu, brought a water bowl for her, and let me have my dog sit on a chair. It was so relaxing and no weirdness having her there. I got to visit my friend from out of town stress free. I'll definitely be coming back again. Thank you to the staff for making it a pleasant evening.

I haven't been there in years and what a great atmosphere and is so much fun. A lot of people were having a great time. We did not partake in the food but we're with some people that did and they said how wonderful it was so we will be going back.

It's been years since I returned to the Monastery, and now I remember why. I celebrated my birthday last night, had over 20 ppl and expected to grill our own burgers and hang out by a fire pit. The staff said they weren't going to turn it on, then they said they were out of wood, (on a Saturday November night) we still ordered over $400 on food and drinks. One of my guest left my birthday gift bag w staff because they gave her th option to leave it there, being liquor as they would hold it for me. I forgot to ask for th gift last night. Got there early next day, and talked to a bar tender that said she didn't find it anywhere. And that maybe it it was given to other ppl in a different party. She had no regards or caring about it and basically an I snoozed I lose attitude. We always found that most staff only pays attention to th inner part of th bars and none to the park area, awful service. And now I assume some staff stold my gift because we were the last ones to leave after closing the night before.

Server was nice, but apparently they had an issue with the kitchen cuz it took nearly 1 hour to get appetizers (pretzel and wings). When got appetizer and food, it was really good though.

We had our 2 year old with us and received food around 8pm. Before and shortly after 8pm there was one staff member who kept coming up to us and telling us we had to leave b/c we couldn't be there (legally) with our kid. He was stressing my family out and and following us around chain smoking. We finally got a hold of a manager who said not to worry about the time concern or the staff member. However, that employee should be retrained before he can re-interact with customers. Created a really poor experience for us under the circumstances.

Brought my friend here for the first time to show her a cute little place, and we sat at one of the MANY OPENED TABLES on the deck and was immediately confronted by a server with an attitude stating we can't sit there unless we spend $25, which wouldn't have been an issue but instead of asking if we needed another drink or food we immediately just left the building. She was extremely rude and made us feel uncomfortable, they really shouldn't be pressing customers about sitting at open tables to listen to the band, at least it would look busy for them.
