Classic traditional bar with lots of nice woodwork and a decent mix of draft local beers to choose from. They do have a rooftop terrace and additional seating upstairs but we chose to relax at the bar on this visit.

The West End Tavern was a pleasant experience with a few hiccups. We quite enjoyed the jalapeno dip, the peppers paired with the cheese so well and the portion size was far better than most other restaurants selling the same item. The fish from the fish and chips was crispy with a tasty batter and the fries were pretty decent. The sticky style chicken sandwich was an interesting take that absolutely had me reaching for the wet naps. It was sweet and crispy with a bit too much apple, overall nice but I don't think I'll go back to it. The kids food is where I question things. Kids are picky, sure, but why is the chicken breast and fries so plain?
The service was ok, a bit slow at times and and definitely distracted.

Amazing restaurant with delicious food and drinks!! Came here on a Friday at 6pm and got seated right away. Their rooftop atmosphere was nice and the service was amazing. While we were in the middle of eating it started raining and everyone in the rooftop moved inside. We got seated inside immediately which was super nice of them. My husband loved the patty melt and the turkey bacon on ciabatta was absolutely delicious!

This place has maybe the best menu I’ve ever seen at a tavern!!! Friendly staff too. Also they’ve got a smoker out back which is how you know they take their meats seriously

A very retro-style bar with booth seating that takes you back to the 1980's when it opened. But nothing is "old" about the beers on tap, high-end cocktails and of course, the excellent food menu! A focus on some BBQ options, but also some great burgers, sides, and salads. Gets busy on weekends so get there early.

The burgers my partner and I got were SO good and they totally hit the spot.

Our server Zeberiah was so nice and the seats were comfy.
The beer selection was super great, and the non alc options are good too.

Food was a disaster. Brisket was dry and un-flavorful. They replaced my first serving with an only slightly better serving. Avoid this.

Fish and chips were just OK. Waiter said that we would receive 3 pieces. We received two.

Told waiter up front that we wanted plenty of fries. He agreed. However, we only got a standard amount.

Waiter and waitress were nice. Food was Bad.

We are visiting from NC and ran across this restaurant. 10/10. We ordered the burnt ends, the tavern burger, the brussel sprouts, and the macaroni and cheese. Everything was delicious I wish we lived closer so we could visit this restaurant more often. The waiter was awesome and made sure we were always satisfied. The music playlist was right up our alley and never missed. If we ever visit Boulder again, we will be back!! Zero complaints.
