The sushi here is the BEST in town. It is a small bistro and very good for a date night. The food can be slow to come out, but so worth the wait. This place allows you time to visit with friends and slow down. The omakase is unbelievably amazing (the nigiri pictured are the omakase tasting) Each bite is better than the next. If you want to omakase experience, you need a reservation. Otherwise, the rolls and basic nigiri are phenomenal.

This place is small, that’s a plus, it feels intimate. The service is impeccable, servers are extremely polite and even bring wet towels when they notice you need them. Finally, the food. It is amazing. Whether you just get a roll or the full omakase experience, you’ll be elated. But, do get the omakase! It is a unique experience, with the head chef Koichi serving and explaining every piece of special nigiri with a smile on his face. He is proud of what he serves you for omakase and should be. Cannot recommend any sushi restaurant more.

Next level good coming from big sushi lovers! The tokyo styled nigiri was insane. Best in Boulder, and we’ve lived here 42 years! Great sharing service where they all help, not just one server! Will be our new spot!

We were craving some good Japanese food and our favorite place in Boulder was packed, so we dropped in here about 8:45 to a fairly empty restaurant. However, we were greeted warmly and immediately and were given a table within 30 seconds on a Friday night. We ordered sake, beer, and a few apps. The agedashi tofu was above average, though the broth was unusually thick. The fried squid legs were very good, as well. The shrimp shumai was pretty good, but we didn’t think it was worth the price. For mains, we ordered a couple of fatty bluefin rolls and the sashimi moriawase. The rolls were quite good (especially the hand roll), and while the sashimi was above average, it wasn’t worth the steep price for so little fish and the mediocre presentation. We will go back here, though, because we found it to be the second best Japanese restaurant in Boulder and it wasn’t crowded.

This is a small family run restaurant with all the pros and cons of that. BUT the food is excellent and the servers and chefs are endearing real people. They are mostly always busy so be prepared to wait. It's worth it. They serve the best mackerel in broth ever. I haven't seen this offered anywhere else. The special rolls are big and delicious. The sushi is fresh and generous.

The best sushi in Boulder. I guarantee. The green mochi with strawberry in the center was one of the best desserts i think I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The service was super nice, and the atmosphere was top?, highly recommend going out to dinner here.

They deserve all the attention! On a fall night their service and the miso soup warmed my heart and my soul!!!

Thanks for the amazing food sushi chefs, I never thought I would be so stunned by fish this far from an ocean!
