An absolute phenomenal time here at the Canteen! It’s very cute inside and cozy. Workers are tremendously friendly and our waiter especially was very kind hearted and helpful. Bison bolognese was good but could’ve come out hotter. The buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was easily some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. Their fries are delicious and addicting. For dessert you must get the brownie as it tastes so good and the texture is to die for. Such a good meal!

Food was delicious & the hostess and waitress were great, once our waitress came to our table. It took a loooong time for her to greet us because they were so busy. Normally this wouldn't have been an issue, but it was really hot upstairs & we all needed water badly. Once we got some water and other drinks the night was great. Again, the food was delicious!!

We ordered an array of food, for the table. Buffalo/Elk chilli was really good. Buffalo burger was as good as any burger I've ever had. Gumbo was okay. The serving size of chips and fries was crazy big. We had so much left over. Colby was our server. He was excellent. We sit in the upstairs room. They also have an outdoor seating area, with a fire pit. I could eat here every day!

There were five of us and we walked in for lunch at 1:15pm on a Saturday in August. We were greeted right away and were offered to sit upstairs if we wanted to be seated right away. We did, and our server Aspen was lovely. It did seem like she was spread pretty thin, but that did not stop her from being efficient. Our only issue with being put in a booth upstairs is that we were VERY cramped for seating space, and space for our food and drinks. It was all too small.
This place has HUGE portions! The Queso Fundido was more than enough for five of us, and was delicious. The tuna salad had five very large pieces of sesame crusted tuna. It was just okay, and the whole salad needed more dressing. The Hoss burger patty was a very weird consistency. It was mushy and didn't taste like anything. None of us liked it. However, there were a boatload of fries that everyone liked. The wings are pretty standard with a hint of smokiness.
So if you want a lot of food for your money, this place fits the bill. The Queso was the standout.
