I loved this school until my child reached 5th grade. 5th is such a crucial year. It's a time to really prepare your child for middle school. Children are changing and growing and are taking in so much at this time. My child loved this school up until 5th grade. Ms. Bare the 5th grade Math teacher was horrible. She is lazy and has no patience for children who need to ask questions. I understand you have a curriculum to teach and not very much time to get a classroom of 30 to under stand it. But she was awful. 80% of the parents agreed we did as much homework as our children. We all agreed they're tOo many students in this school per teacher. Students have no support...there's no homework help. Teachers will slide you a piece of paper with websites on it that can assist your child with learning. I love working with my kids. Helping with homework. Really getting a feel for how They are understanding subjecys & what theyre learning in class. But my child would come home in tears bc they were humilated for asking a question by the teacher and told they dont have time to help every student individually...ARE YOU KIDDING ME! They made excuses that your child learns slow...BS. My child loves school, is driven and motivated! Ever since we switched schools my child now holds a 90% or higher in every subject! Including Math! To future parents of Avery Parsons students, prepare yourselves to put in the effort and have the patience for a select few teachers. There are other options for your child. Explore them. Our children are everything.
