Had a wonderful breakfast at Castle Wood (Brewers Fayre)! It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet with everything you could possibly want to kickstart your day. There’s a great selection of hot food, plus cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissants, and even pancakes! I’m a tea lover, and my husband is all about the coffee – both were refillable, which was fab.

We were greeted by the lovely Gemma, and Tori and Wayde were also incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. We went on a Tuesday, and it was pleasantly quiet, which made for a nice relaxed morning.

Highly recommend if you’re looking to fill up before tackling the day ahead!

Excellent all round. What a lovely surprise. I'd recommend the sirloin steak which was very good quality and extremely tasty. The staff were all very friendly and I'd give top marks except I can't give top marks for service when I have to order at the bar. The process are very reasonable too and you can get some great discounts on already good prices and a quality meal.
We'll be back.

The size of the portion was disgusting when you compare to the price. £13 for a sharing platter that was anything but. There is no way that's a sharing platter. It used to be so good and genuine value for money. Ridiculously overpriced for what you got. Thoroughly disgusted and won't be going there again.

We always stop to eat here when travelling to Chesterfield. The guys again found us a table late lunch time. Gammon and Mixed grill meals perfectly cooked with raspberry tea and Doombar on tap. Staff super helpful and friendly as always. They even do gluten-free options. Thanks again guys.

For the incredible price of £6 a meal we really enjoyed, sausage and mash, gammon and curry all tasty and enough . The gammon was so tender , onion gravy with sausages lovely. Unlimited coffee and Fanta .

I ate there last night and was going to have the mixed grill but changed my mind at the till. I went for the carvery which I'd normally avoid. However it was actually excellent perfectly cooked roast potatoes which most places can't achieve. There was nothing I could fault about it.
The staff were excellent managing to find me a table when I'd not booked ahead. Nothing was too much trouble.
Great selection of beers.
I'd suggest you book if you're going on a Sunday as it's pretty busy and I now know why.

Great location with plenty of free parking and good access from both the M1 and also the A38.
Located within the Premier Inn.
Good menu with reasonably priced options, including a "2 for £11.99" menu (between certain times of the day).
We had the Fish, chips and mushy peas. Reasonably priced and very tasty.
