Very pleasant dining experience, solid service and atmosphere. We like the feel of the location.

Food was mixed-spinach dip, tomato and mozzarella salad excellent appetizers, filet and baby back ribs excellent main plates;
Asparagus an excellent side. Really enjoyed the ribs!

The NY strip and the Prime Rib were more “OK..”

So, mixed on the menu. Overall an enjoyable evening!

Chef Anthony Apolinar at Keelers is one of my favorite chefs in the valley, and I am also a big fan of Keelers Hospitality Group. From the food to the cocktails, they excel at hospitality and bringing diners comfort foods with a passionate twist. Not to mention, the cocktail menu designed by Adam Downing is as diverse as it is fun to sip!

Why I love Keeler's Chef Anthony Apolinar? He brings a deep passion for food and people and a commitment to fresh, from-scratch cooking to Keeler's Neighborhood Steakhouse.

Apolinar's culinary journey began at age six, learning to make chorizo from his mother and “Nana“. His formative years were spent honing his work ethic through baling hay and tending livestock. Those early experiences instilled in him a love of food and a connection to his roots.

The Keeler family, a family owned and operated hospitality group, offered Chef Apolinar a haven for his creativity across their three concepts. For the past nine years, he has revolutionized their menus, transitioning from pre-made dishes to fresh, from-scratch comfort foods.

Chef Apo understood Cave Creek's love for "meat and potatoes," which inspired his "Keelers Loaded Baker." This behemoth baked potato impresses with tender filet mignon, bacon, and a symphony of cheeses. This exemplifies Apolinar’s philosophy of elevating comfort food. "My job is to create dishes that evoke memories of childhood and comfort.“

The Keelers kitchen boasts a close-knit team which is evident in the staff's longevity. Chef beams with pride as he mentions his sous chef's journey from dishwasher four years ago.

A highlight of the menu is Apolinar's favorite cut, a 16-ounce prime rib eye. It bursts with flavor and tenderness. The brisket blend beef burgers with house-made buns sell over 2,000 a month.

Apolinar's Mexican-American heritage shines through in dishes like the Baja Sea Bass, topped with crab meat and a cajun beurre blanc, in addition to a chunky cilantro crab cake finished with chipotle aioli.

For dessert, try Apple Pie, which uses 10 lbs of Granny Smith applies for every pie, or the New York Cheesecake and Creme Brulee.

As you sit at the bar, enjoying one of Keeler’s incredible cocktails, you'll likely encounter the regulars. They come not just for the food and cocktails, but for a place that feels like home. There is also a rooftop patio!

Visited Keeler's last week for the first time with a friend and I was very impressed. We had heard about this place from my friends parents and we were glad we decided to go! The service was amazing. Our waitress was super knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. Our appetizer, drinks, steaks and dessert were fantastic. I will say I got the Mac and cheese and the french onion soup as sides and they definitely lacked luster compared to the rest of the meal. They were just very plain and not what I expected compared to everything else. I loved that the owner visited our table! Made it feel very personal meeting the owner. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. Will definitely be back when I'm back in the area.

Great local option for a nice steak.

Drinks are tasty and very competently done. The environment is lively and energetic.

First course were mostly salads (very solid), but also tried some spinach dip - which was expectedly delicious, but surprisingly lite (not the typical cheese/cream-bomb you usually get).

Mains (a couple of us had steaks, one prime rib, and a sea bass) were also nicely done. Steaks were cooked right on temperature and seasoned perfectly. Prime rib was a solid effort and the sea bass seemed on point. Sides were great as well - from fries to mushrooms to asparagus (freakishly large, yet tender, grilled).

The price point was a bit lower than comparable steak houses - perhaps due to including sides with steaks.

All-in-all, Keeler’s hits the spot in a very nice location.

Unfortunately, they just can’t get steak or prime rib right. We have given them many tries over the past years. They either way overcook or send it out rare. They are called a steakhouse. It’s a shame. This time we ordered med rare as we always do. The first ribeye came out well done. They took it back and took 20 minutes to get the other one out only to come out completely rare. The server looked mortified when she saw how rare it was. In addition, they have very cheap cuts of meat for a “steakhouse.” Tip…don’t order steak here unless you are prepared to play the game of sending it back. I never send food back and here it seems to be common, unfortunately.

The hostess gave us any option we want to where to sit. Our server Serra was very pleasant and gave us great service. The food was delicious & the establishment should be called Killers Steakhouse because the food is killer! Biker friendly but can tell lots of regulars

Happy in the Desert

First time to this restaurant and we thought it was just.... okay. I have had better food and service at Outback Steakhouse. My kids order a burger on the adult menu medium and they came extremely well. I ordered the braised short ribs which were good tho. My husband ordered the sea bass and the flavor and seasoning was just odd. Sitting at the table waiting for a meal no one brought any bread so I asked the server if they usually serve bread and she said it was a secret and you just had to ask for it. She forgot to bring the bread so about 10 minutes later I asked one of the bus boys and he brought something that looked like warmed up brown and serve rolls. We also ordered a side of truffle fries and between the presentation and taste, you would have thought you ordered them from a fast food restaurant. My son ordered a side of butter noodles and they came half hard which seems like they were old and just microwaved. Our server asked us if we wanted a complimentary slice of birthday cake and we said yes. By that time my kids were ready to leave but we were waiting for the birthday cake. The server came by about 10 minutes later and asked what we had decided, if we wanted the birthday cake. All of us had a very confused look on our face because we had already told her we did. The cake came and it tasted Old and stale. We are glad we finally tried Keeler's however, unfortunately. I don't think we'll ever be back.

Hungry Madre

Our first time dining here and it definitely lived up to its reputation, not one disappointment. Our server was a true professional who paced our meal perfectly and was always attentive but never intrusive. We celebrated a special occasion for my mother in law and everything from the drinks, appetizers, entrees to dessert were enjoyable. Great ambiance, cool crowd (thanks to us!) But most importantly, the food was outstanding. We’ll absolutely be back!
