Not only closing to those ski area, but very close to many trails. I found this paradise after finishing the ice lake trail, tiring and hungry. Passing by here through driving back to town, I found this spot offering TX BBQ and live music with cold beer! And the price is also much better than those in town. Very clean room with full-size bathroom, I mean the toilet seat has a heating function! And you can enjoy the cozy living room and kitchen. I will suggest all of tourists to call Inga to make a reservation which is the most convenient way.
Definitely will come back in ski season for a round two!

I stayed here while in town for a few days on business. It was perfect! Quiet, very clean, cute room. The mountain air was just what I needed. Incredible views. I only wish I could have stayed the weekend to see the music! Highly recommend!

This is the kind of place your are looking for on a road trip. Unique, funky and authentic.

Happened upon the roadhouse on a drive from Ouray. We stayed in the aspen room which was quaint but very comfortable. Such thoughtful and unique touches in the room like spare stained towels, many power points, comfy bed, large shower and of course the heated toilet seats!
We were lucky enough to be there for a night of live music which was the first time I heard the term “Psychedelic bluegrass”. Beer was cheap, food was good, lots of friendly dogs to play with and large bonfires kept us warm and of course awesome music.
Took a nice hike up to the rainbow trail and then down into town for coffee in the morning.

We stayed at the Roadhouse for a long weekend to enjoy some skiing and meet up with friends. Inga was beyond accommodating for us and kindly extended our stay at the last minute due to a snowstorm. We stayed in the Kendall room which had a super comfy bed, heated blanket, space heater, and a great view of the stage of the venue which I hear is a BLAST during the summer season! The room also had a very spacious bathroom with a heated toilet seat (wonderful in the winter!!) and huge shower. There is a comfy common area I enjoyed reading in and full kitchen which was super convenient. We had such a great stay can’t wait to come back this summer!

Great music venue! Nice out doors, sitting around a big firepit !!
Cold beer, mix drinks and drinks for kids, non drinker also.
Food is pretty good, bar food.
Music is very good, my wife and I have been here probably 20 times.
Just north of Silverton colorado.

Recommend if your around the Silverton colorado area.
Never stayed in the rooms, so can't comment on them.
The owners, Lucky & his wife are great and welcoming!

I can’t say enough good thing about this place! The rooms are cozy and comfortable. Inga and Lucky welcomed our family late at night and we couldn’t be more thankful for their hospitality.

What a cool funky little place this is! Can't wait to go again when I have more time to hangout. Didn't realize there is a hotel. All I saw was a private residence sign.

July 2021: Great experience x2! Mark (Lucky), Inga and the dogs were very welcoming. The outdoor space is fantastic (I can't wait until the stage is finished) with good tunes playing. Full bar with ice cold beers. Limited menu but it was good. The wings, BBQ beef, and potato salad were all tasty. They even have $1 hot dogs (my dog had two). Good conversation and helpful tips. The bar is open Thursday through Sunday (hours vary) and there is often impromptu live music.
