We stayed here 3 nights, just got home today actually. Beautiful campground with amazing sites on the river & minimal bugs. We were in the upper loop but hope to get a site on the river next time. Fished but did not catch. It's a different fishing experience than the Arkansas for example. Bathrooms are super clean, it's quiet & ample space in between sites. We also hiked to the First meadow on Elk Creek . Great trail & beautiful valley. Can't wait to come back for more fun, second meadow, Duck Lake etc.

Best Kept Outhouse I have ever used by far! This campground is well maintained and patrolled. Loved our stay here and felt very safe.

The bathrooms; Very clean bathrooms for the type that don’t flush. Air freshener was potent, walls and toilet were clean. Stocked with ample toilet paper. And they even provided sanitizer to clean the seat and hands afterwards.

The camp site was free of litter and the parking layout was convenient. Very well shaded by trees and several trees close enough for a hammock.

Liked a lot and Bill and Deb were great hosts! It was pouring down rain not just your typical mountain light rain ( I call a mist ). It was raining hard so we got our money back and left. Very pretty and again the hosts were superb. We will be back.

Aspen Glade is a beautiful campground with the lower loop next to the water. I highly recommend the bottom loop. The upper loops are fine but do not have as much tree coverage and are distant from the river. The camp sites were very level with a picnic table and fire pit as well. There was fresh water available from a faucet but no hook ups. The outhouses smelled even from a distance which was really disappointing (thus 4 instead of 5 stars). It's gorgeous overall, and we'll come back.

Very nice, shaded campgrounds off of Hwy 17 in Southern Colorado. We stayed in a 17ft Casita travel trailer. The site where we stayed was great. We chose one near the river -- there are 3 loops, only one right next to the river. The bathrooms were "vault" type but absolutely immaculate. Almost like a regular bathroom, only no flush! There is no water or electricity at each site. Water is available; however the one nearest us was not in service. The only other one I saw, was NOT threaded which seems to be common around the area. The river was very pretty. We only stayed one night, as we were just traveling through the area. The price was $20/night, self-pay, which we thought was a bit steep considering we had no hookups. The park host was very friendly and came by to check on us. Nice park.
