Due to the number of 5-Star reviews, I stopped in today for lunch. It's an Old-Fashioned, Drive-In Burger Joint. The ladies come out, the your order.. and sometime later, bring you food. I saw that the Green Chile Burger, and the Onion Rings were mentioned often in the reviews.. so I ordered the 1/4lb size burger, which is $2 more than the regular. (would hate to see the size of the burger patty on the regular). Obviously 1/4lb before cooking, because the patty was almost non-existent. It was pretty much a salad burger (see photos). The Onion Rings were very good. The burger was $6.29, and small order of Onion Rings was $2.89. ++++ A better value than a garbage burger from McD's, but I was expecting more, and better.

Ordered bacon cheeseburger, onion rings, Jalabites, and strawberry shake. Took 15 minutes to get my order. Food was great, service is great, prices are great. The whole experience was great, I wish more of these non-franchise places existed in the country. As soon as these places expand they become profit hungry and loose quality, this place is a treasure and if I ever come within 100 miles of Cortez again, I will be stopping here!

J’avais repéré ce Drive-In à l’ancienne sur Google Maps en préparant mon road-trip de traversée de l’ouest américain. Le jour J, après avoir visité le Mesa Verde National Park le matin, je prenais la route en direction de Moab. C’est certainement à ce jour le meilleur burger que j’ai mangé de toute ma vie. Le service est vraiment incroyable, et le personnel tres sympathique. Je recommande à tout le monde de s’arrêter pour y manger !

Great food for some Drive-In eats - we search these places out on our road trips. Green Chili burger and onion rings were on point. Loved that our server asked if I wanted a refill on my soda while waiting on our order to go. Ranch and the other dipping sauce were also super tasty.

Every time we've been to Cortez, we've noticed this place was ALWAYS busy, so we figured it must be good, but we had not been there at a meal time for us, so we hadn't stopped before. This trip we just wanted to grab something quick while we were in town, so we decided to give them a try. Boy, are we glad we did! The service was fantastic and the good was fabulous!! We had burgers, fries and onion rings. All were outstanding! We will definitely make this a regular stop anytime we are in Cortez!

Old school, drive in burger joint. The car hops were very attentive and friendly. Place was so busy, but we got food super fast. They make their own ranch and fry sauce.

Road trip stop for my family in June 2024. Sat at the round table right out front. It was the right food at the right price at the right time... and a cold drink. The waitress was fast, friendly and efficient, even though she was quite busy. Food was excellent and there was more than enough. Future me will happily sidetrack to Cortez for a burger!
