I did not leave hungry. The waitress was kind and attentive. She was much busier than she should have been based on the number of people in the place.

The tamales were great! The green chili sauce was ironically brownish green .. but we rolled with it.

The chicken tacos were good, but the shells and the side salsa were definitely store bought and the chicken was dry and was not cooked with any taco seasoning. It tasted like a chicken sandwich in a taco shell.

You can get good food here, but if you're expecting Tex-Mex .. we did not find it here.

We came here on a slow October evening after driving through the Dunes. Being from WI and finding the restaurant in the dark of night we weren’t sure what to expect. Despite their being only one waitress, the server was awesome and very attentive. The food was out absolutely amazing! If we venture back in the area again, I would drive out of the way just to eat here again. Restaurant was also very clean.

We came at a busy time but the food still came out reasonably quickly. It was priced fairly. Most importantly it tasted GREAT! My husband had a burrito that was huge. I tried the macho nacho delux and both were delicious. Fresh jalapeños and salsa made it even better. Kids had the chicken nuggets and corn dogs both were happy with their meal. It was $57 for all 4 of us. I would definitely recommend. Not to mention the view is amazing.

Absolutely great place! The staff is superb! Friendly, personal, cordial, and attentive. Great food, great atmosphere. Overnight parking for trucks. They're doing right, and it's a great thing to see. Highly recommend this establishment! Can't wait to see you guys again someday! I'm looking forward to it!

We’ve been traveling national parks for over and week eating mostly out of our van, but stopping occasionally for a restaurant meal. Tonight, we’re camping nearby at the dunes and saw Lu’s was a reasonable enough drive and was still open for another hour. We trecked the 30min drive to Lu’s and let me tell you… nothing about this experience was disappointing. The food was incredible, the daughter of the restaurant owner was AMAZING. She gave great recommendations for the rest of our travels and we will absolutely be returning for lunch tomorrow. Thank you for a warm, hearty, delicious meal! P.S. - get the green chile!!!

While on a road trip, had a wonderful lunch/breakfast at Lu's. I had an open face burger and my wife had the breakfast burrito. Both were fantastic! Gabe was an awesome host and if we are ever near Lu's again, will definitely stop in!
