The food, THE FOOD!!! I am beyond impressed that food was not only hot and freshly made, but the cajun seasonings and spices were on point. The service was not the best, which is surprising because we were there during lunch on a week day. The cocktails were ok, but I'd come back again and again for the food. 🤤

Amazing service. Gotta check out happy hour 2pm-5pm. My favorite was the Mac and cheese. So good, I had to come back for more before flying back home. The staff is very accommodating! Would not recommend the pickle shot lol but everything was amazing.

We went at a time where it wasn’t super busy, so our reservation was unneeded.

The bartender was our server and was very attentive and friendly. He answered our questions and was proactive about checking on us and refilling our water, which was excellent service (especially since we were the only patrons not sitting at the bar).

The food was really good and came out quick. I went to college in NOLA and love a good po boy, which I was happy to find here. It was a smidge spicier than I’d want it to be, but overall it was really good and I’d definitely come back.

Bonus was having all the football games on the tvs. Great experience overall and we’ll be back.

The restaurant itself was nice! Staff were very welcoming, but seemed busy during my time there (which is fine). The decor was very fun and made it feel authentic in some ways. However, as a Louisiana native, the gumbo was not good. It tasted like chili! I couldn’t even finish it bc I was so upset. They must have put chili powder in their seasoning blend or else it wouldn’t have tasted that much like chili. I was expecting a kidney bean in there it was so similar. The fried okra was good, though, but the ranch tasted like Zatarans tartar sauce for some reason. I’m sure if they change the recipe, they’d have better results with their gumbo because it was nothing close to gumbo. Also not enough rice in my opinion.

A pleasant surprise to find something downtown that has good food and beverages at reasonable prices. Loved the downstairs bar, but never made it upstairs. Respectable service as well. Will definitely be back

We were visiting Denver and did a quick Google search for restaurants near the art museum. This location came up (Nola Janes), and it sounded like a great place to eat.

We really enjoyed it. Our waitress was really cool and awesome at helping us make the best food selections as it was our first time eating there.

The hush puppies were fantastic. Our meals were yummy as well. My brother had jambalaya, and I had the gator sausage po'boy. We were not disappointed! I actually started scooping my brothers jambalaya onto my po'boy it was so good!

For dessert, we shared the bread pudding... I said it was the best bread pudding I've ever had, and my brother said it was his second favorite.

If we visit Denver again, this place will be on our radar... I suggest trying it if you haven't been!

What a great find! I was looking for a spot to grab a bite not far from where I was working. The menu looked amazing with cajun style dishes. I'm from Louisiana and tend to look for places that say New Orleans or cajun style to find out if they are true or only using the name to pull people in. New orleans style dishes are all about flavor. It's ok to have a little heat but not to the point thats all there is. This place has got the flavor and then some!
I ordered the alligator sausage poboy with bbq shrimp mac n cheese. And cher you can't go wrong! You get a little peppery heat on it (just a warning for those who aren't used to it but so worth it) the poboy bun was perfect (even after sitting in a to go box for 15 min plus) You get the light crispy outside and the soft inside without it being overly chewy. (Half my poboy was missing when I took the picture. Trust me great portion size)
Will definitely be back to try other dishes next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend. Thank you Nola Jane for a great experience.
