I hate writing negative reviews of restaurants because I know how hard the hospitality industry is. Even so, Seasons is a restaurant that I recommend avoiding.

I often travel solo and it isn't uncommon restaurants are less than enthusiastic about serving single diners. I understand this - you want every seat filled as much as possible and giving a single diner a two top means a seat is empty.

When I told the host I was dining alone, she immediately wanted to seat me at the bar - which is furnished with backless chairs immediately next to blasts of cold air every time the door opens. As the restaurant wasn't busy, I asked for a table. The host was visibly angry about this but took me to a table far in the back.

And that was the last time I interacted with any of the staff.

I sat at the table for 10 minutes before a server walked by and slammed a glass of water on the table and kept walking.

There were only about a dozen other customers in the restaurant and the servers were gathered around the bar and kitchen chatting and laughing but no one ever came to my table. No one acknowledged I was there.

I tried flagging down a server without success. Finally, after waiting a considerable amount of time, I got the message Seasons had no intention of serving me and I left.

Later I read the owner of this restaurant tried to sell it five years ago, but given shes still listed as the owner and manager, I'm guessing that never happened. It feels as if the management here has given up and the place survives mostly on reputation and nostalgia to sell its $25 burgers and daily 10oz portions of mystery beef.

I can't imagine owning a restaurant and treating diners with as much disdain as Seasons exhibited toward me.

After an event was cancelled and I didn’t see the email, my friend and I wandered in for a Galentines Dinner! What a great night! Love the ambiance - especially on a wintry night! The menu had great options and choices. Service was fantastic too! Will definitely return soon with my husband for date night!

Darling, if I *must* indulge you with my opinion of Seasons in Durango, Colorado, well, allow me to begin by saying it was nothing short of an *extraordinarily* delightful experience. Picture this: we, mere mortals, seated at the bar, preparing ourselves for an evening of culinary enchantment.
Now, as a woman of discerning taste, I naturally chose the *Paradise Island Margarita*. Oh, the *splendor*! A tantalizing concoction, reminiscent of a *key lime pie*, but served with such elegance in a martini glass. One could almost hear the waves lapping upon the shore, though we were far from the tropics.
Adam found himself in the thrall of an *Espresso Martini*, and oh, what a revelation it was! A drink that seemed to whisper to him, "Stay alert, but in the most fabulous way possible."
Our darling Angelique—*a true artisan behind the bar*—delivered these libations with the precision of a master and the flair of a stage performer. Truly, her skills should be heralded far and wide.
As for the food? *Heavenly.* We dined on the *Grilled Cheese*—though calling it merely "grilled cheese" feels a touch uncouth—and the *Hoisin Barbecue Ribs*. Both dishes were crafted with such care, such *passion*, one could weep. The flavors! *Flawless*. The chef, whoever he may be, is clearly *a genius* in the kitchen, a Michelangelo with a spatula.
We shall most certainly return, darlings. Seasons, you’ve enchanted us, and this *magnificent* experience will linger in our hearts—and taste buds—forevermore. *Bravo*.

We dined here for an anniversary celebration. Our server was great. The chicken breast was small, a little overcooked, and the pan sauce bland. The prime rib pasta was flavorful, but overall the portions were small for the price.

Seasons has been my favorite restaurant for decades but it’s changed since it was sold.
I’ve been there twice this year. Last night we were celebrating a birthday with a party of 5 and we were escorted downstairs to their ”wine room”, not the nice room for groups but basically a glorified storage room. I felt like I was in the kitchen of a real estate office. There were kitchen cabinets across the back of the room with a counter that sported a charging station with a mound of wires exploding from it.
In this somewhat small closet type room they had 5 tables. My niece sat next to a home depot metal bakers rack with wine piled up on it. Not exactly 5 star ambiance but the prices are the same in the downstairs closet as they are upstairs in the beautiful high ceiling art filled restaurant.
The staff was lacking. The waiter didn't know if their choice meat cuts were organic, she brought us water without ice when asked but then left it on the kitchen counter behind us so we served ourselves. She check in on us when we were almost done eating, too late if anything had been wrong and despite the birthday they neglected to offer us dessert. She was obviously overtaxed having to run up and down the stairs.
Towards the end of our meal another waiter was sent to ask us to be more quiet because the 3 tables of couples in the small room with us weren’t enjoying their experience- someone complained. Mind you we were a table of middle aged women not exactly a rowdy crowd! When you skimp and put too many people in your storage closet you are going to run into problems. I don’t blame the complainers the room wasn’t made for dining.
The food was okay. I’m a good cook and grown my own organic food so restaurants don’t impress me too much. The pork loin was adequate and the chicken was very good but none of it was organic. The duck I had last time was also just adequate.
The last thing that rubbed me the wrong way was that, on top of having to tip , essentially paying the employees directly, now restaurants expect us to pick up their operating expenses as well by assessing their credit card fees to the customers. This just seems cheap. It will be a long time before I go back.

Really great place- nice meeting room, great facilities for a private meet or party. Great food from calamari and hoisin bbq ribs, to specialty drinks to excellent salmon, duck and pork tenderloin. Lovely place!

The food was amazing! The service was spectacular. Only 3 stars until the owner removes the credit card fee, but won’t accept checks. We’re eating at one of the best restaurants in Durango, don’t make it feel so weird at the end with the check listing the fee. Build it into your costs. It just left a bad taste after such a lovely meal. Thankfully the server did address it and when the fee disappears, my stars will be 5. It is a great restaurant.
