Supposed to be an Irish pub, but it’s just like any other bar/restaurant but with less options for lunch, no salads or soups and the only dessert is sticky toffee pudding. With that being said the smash burger was excellent! Greasy but flavorful! My partner had the fish and chips and he said more crunchy batter than fish, dish served with big steak fries.
I’m not sure why the menu was so limited, no Rueben sandwich either..

Gordon Ramsey just remodel this beautiful pub in "Kitchen Nightmare" and it is yummy. We tried the new food and it was quite tasty. ADA wheelchair accessible. Park on the street...get there 1 hour before the kitchen closes to get dinner...or have a blast at the bar...photos included from the new menu...just look at that shepherd pie...still drooling.

I cannot stress enough how amazing the food is here! I got the fish and chips, the portion size was perfect. I don’t eat carrots that often but these maple carrots were so good! Not too sweet, but perfect. Our server was so nice and gave us great recommendations on wine and dishes. There is no parking lot but I was able to find a close spot pretty easily on a Tuesday evening.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and AMAZING home cooked food. Definitely a comfort food place with good drinks. $2 beer on Tuesdays can’t be beat! Had the wild mushroom pasty with carrots and bacon Brussels sprouts and it was very filling and tasty.

The restaurant was packed after Chef Gordan Ramsey paid them a visit. Had to sit outside, where we more or less forgotten about.

The appetizer arrived late, and the banger and mash was soaking in a pool of sauce with no seasoning. There was no salt on the table to fix the issue. Our cocktails were watered down as if they sat for a while before getting to us (another reason we feel forgotten about). Lastly, the restaurant was running out of their now limited menu. Which made options for dinner very limited.

I recommend parking off of 8th Street if you're visiting for dinner. There were a lot more vacancies over there because those businesses close a little earlier.
We went after Ramsay visited but before the menu was broadcast. Honestly, everything was amazing. I'm glad they're still here six months later, and I really hope they're still here in another six years. People like to leave fake 1 star reviews after restaurants like this are shown on television, but don't let that fool you.

The scotch egg was perfectly cooked, and the homemade piccalilli was delicious. My bangers and mash were perfectly cooked with nice creamy potatoes, and my partners fish and chips entree was also cooked and plated perfectly. I'm not usually a fan of toffee, but the sticky toffee tasted so good we took an extra one to go! I highly recommend visiting at least once while they still have a Gordon Ramsay curated menu!

Edited to add: some of the restaurants Gordon helps revert back to their old menu after some time passes. I'm glad to hear Grumpy George doesn't plan on doing that 🙂

Grumpy George was awesome! Great atmosphere, great food, excellent service. Our bartender even gave us behind the scenes scoop! Will return soon!

I'm slightly disappointed there's no Irish cider, but the food was superb, and the service wonderful. The little things like mushy peas and tasty curry for the perfect chips (fries) are great touches with the flaky fish and huge, flavorful shepherds pie. And the Scotch egg was perfect. Excellent pub.
