Very friendly and helpful employees. The porkchop ? sandwich is a must and it was amazing! The chopped pork plate with bbq slaw was okay. The brownie was moist, tasty and large! Clean dining area and restrooms.

Awesome barbecue restaurant, we just happened to find, for lunch in our travels through the state. The pork chop sandwich was so delicious and tender, it was hard to believe how economical it was. The brunswich stew was out of this world and packed full of flavor. Once we ordered, we sat down and had the best interaction with service from the employees. They went above and beyond to cater to our every need. We might have to look for a reason to swing back through in the future.

Went here and ordered 7 chipped sandwiches, all 7 of my sandwiches were cold. I called to informed them and the man on the phone asked if I just came in 15 mins ago and I informed him that I was there 5 mins ago. He then came back to the phone saying “ he don’t know what to tell me “ I should’ve went to the other bbq place if I knew it would be like this

I called my order in for pick up and the person who answered the phone was very rude and snappy. She or he (couldn’t tell) decided it was okay to have an attitude with me and tell me I should have just came in and ordered over the counter. When I arrived, the woman on the cash register was being very rude and yelling at the lady making the food. Honestly if someone talked to me the way the cash register lady talked to the other worker, I would have walked out. The food was okay. Overall, awful experience.

Today I tried the bbq in Ladonia. The atmosphere is exactly what I would expect of a barbecue restaurant, nothing fancy just functional with a bit of local flair. The clerk wore a baseball cap and the line workers wore face masks. This place is always smelling good with smoked meats when I drive by.

I stopped in for a menu then carried on with my errands. I settled on chicken since I am particular about the quality of chopped meats and I definitely did not want a plate full of fatty connective tissue or mystery chunks. Their menu listed plates with sides, sandwiches, or meat by the pound.

At the restaurant, I asked for a pound of pulled chicken. I thought I would be getting boneless, shredded, smoked chicken. The clerk called out "pound of chopped chicken". I paid $13 and some change, collected my order and left.

When I got home, I opened the plate and it was half full of bbq chicken. The sauce was incorporated into the meat, fully saturated, absolutely no separation possible. It also came with 4 slices of white bread and a bowl of their sauce. The sauce is a mustard based thin sauce with vinegar overtones. The chicken was indeed chopped, including white meat, dark meat, and the ugly bits. I did not find any gristle, fat chunks, or bones.
