I haven't been to a bar in over 6 years. I stopped by this bar with my husband for a quick drink to wait for the train to pass through. A double shot of Jameson and a long island was a little bit over $30. Very well made drink. Bartender was very nice. Only stayed for 20 minutes.

Wish I got to meet Ron - I heard about his story & he's legitimately sounds like a cool person, but don't let the reviews fool you. This place is pretty cool. Best dive bar I've been to in the three surrounding counties (Contra Costa, Solano, San Francisco). Shot of Basil Hayden was $10 (that's a $20 shot in Ashland, OR). 2 pool tables in the back, good conversation with a couple of the people I met, clean restroom, can't complain.

Didn't have any food. Service was very good - it IS basically a dive bar, and sets a high standard. Classic, historical, locals make it great

Not sure if the owners promote harassment towards females, but they fired their best bartenders for standing up & protecting a woman at this bar. What a shame… Ron did such a great job bringing business to this place.
if you’re a female I wouldn’t recommend going there, it’s not safe anymore.
