This place is great. I stayed in the motel and the restaurant was a bonus. I was there for two nights and I think my room was called the lumberjack room. It may have been bigger than the others. It felt like an apartment. I really like what they did with the place. Has a lot of character in a local touch. If you’re looking for a chain, Motel, this is not it. Check in was easy. Contactless. They sent me a text with the code to open the door. Easy. The restaurant across the street was phenomenal. I had a New York strip with mashed potatoes and a light of beer, check the nights at the restaurant is open. I think they’re closed a couple nights a week. I would definitely stay here again.

What a treat to stay in such a uniquely decorated and centrally located lodge! Loved every part of it. We stayed in the Gypsy Soul suite and it was roomy, very clean, quite, and decorated nicely. The Timber House restaurant and bar being next door was a great added bonus. Nice bar, good food and great service. We already made our reservation for next year!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now and last night was my first time and it did not disappoint! We came on the busy holiday weekend and were able to get a table outside in the shade. Outside seating was very comfortable outdoor padded patio furniture, there were fun games for the kids to play while we waited for food which was great to keep them entertained. Food was excellent! I had the Alfredo, my hubby had the filet and my friends had the prawns pasta dish and a salmon dish. One thing that stood out to us, we had asked for a drink that wasn’t something normally made and initially were told that it wasn’t something that could be made, it wasn’t really a big deal as there were other tasty cocktails on the menu but the manager or maybe the owner (not sure) over heard this came back and surprised us with the drink at no charge! Very nice touch especially on a busy weekend! Definitely recommend this place and will be back again. Thank you Timber house for an excellent experience

Great little place to stay while visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park. Room was comfortable and had a fridge in the room, which was a plus (we stayed in the hook, line, and sinker room #7). Also had a microwave in the common area. Restaurant is steps from the room, food was great and beer very drinkable. Only negative was proximity to restaurant made for louder nights, but noise died down around 9-10ish. Service at the restaurant could be slow based on the night (we ate here 2x).

Rooms are beautifully decorated and individually designed with their own theme. The restaurant on site is helpful for being able to not travel around while traveling to find food. Food is always exceptionally tasteful, and the brewery adds character to this beautiful town. Stores near by make it easy for quick needs to be met. 5outta5

6 of us had dinner at the start of dinner service at 5:00pm on a summer Friday. We sat outside on stools at a pub height table in the shade. Wait staff was friendly and brought us waters immediately and took drink orders in a timely fashion after dropping off menus. Drinks arrived quickly without mistake and everyone was ready to order. Fish and Chips, Pan Seared Sea Bass, Wagyu Steak, New York Steak, and Smoked Brisket Tacos were the entrees ordered. Everyone was happy, the food was delicious, no complaints–just empty plates and full bellies at the end of our meals. Their house beers are good. It was an excellent dinner experience and reasonably priced. I will go back next time I'm in Chester at Lake Almanor.

We were visiting during the time frame when they only have drinks and snacks.

The snacks were a hit and we need more!

The beer and marg was so so.

It was so hawtttt! I wish they had misters or something.

Servers was very nice!

Bathrooms are gender shared but very modern and clean!

The outside and color will draw you in!

Don't forget about the corn hole and large jenga set.

Ok. I’ve been to the restaurant at least 3 times now and have tried almost everything on their menu.

Recommended Apps: Steak Tips, Cheese Curds, and Pretzel Bites

Entrée: Tiger Prawn Linguine with Asparagus, Steakhouse burger, Pulled Pork sandwich, and Grilled Herbed Chicken

Drinks: Blonde Ale, Peanut Butter Porter, Cosmopolitan
