Took a little time to get the drinks, and I had some grounds in my coffee, but that happens sometimes. Staff was super friendly, and it was all and all a very cool coffee shop to visit. I highly recommend, I would love to check out one of the show they seem to have something going on every day of the week.

This coffee shop transported me to a different state! The atmosphere is a completely different feel for SoCal! I love the personal touches of this shop! The owners are very friendly, and art is everywhere! Great place to enjoy!

The vibe of this place was way off. I'm super down for the rustic atmosphere, but the overall experience screamed homeless shelter. The deeply pitted and degraded composite tables wouldn't even be worth mentioning if the coffee itself didn't make me sad. I got the iced mocha, which is my drink of choice at every coffee shop on earth I've ever been to, and this had to be the worst I've had ☹️. The taste was overly bitter and unpleasant. The turkey and cheddar bagel was acceptable but far from noteworthy. It also took a long time to be prepared (which they do warn you about, to their credit).

And then there was the odd situation of the bathrooms. They were both out of order. Considering the number of people in the coffee shop, you would think they'd rent a portable restroom. Instead, the restroom situation hadn't even seemed to cross their minds. There were no signs suggesting alternatives, and when I politely asked about the nearest restroom, they glibly noted that there was a restaurant down the street and that I should buy a water or something there to use the restroom.

The workers here are not bad people and I'm sure they're doing their best, but the experience was unusually bad. This place could be something special if they invested more in their food and drink offerings and in minor tweaks to the shop itself. I am super easy to please, but it doesn't feel right to pay coffee-shop prices for a shelter-like experience.

I absolutely love the ambiance, and environment here. The staff are always so sweet and they get busy so please keep that in mind! I love ordering a Hazelnut flavored Mocha and a turkey and Swiss sandwich when I go. Love it here <3

As much as I want to love this place with their event hosting and as the interior is undeniably gorgeous and comfy and their hours are longer than other coffee shops in the area, the drinks are consistently mediocre (the veggie sandwich is great!). But for me the biggest turn away are the baristas who consistently give the attitude of not wanting to be there, me and multiple friends have even on multiple occasions had ourselves given an eyeroll or sigh when asking for something as simple as a matcha or a sandwich! So despite the homely ambiance, I wish I could say the place felt inviting.

First timer here & will definitely come back. I loved how unique this coffee shop was! I asked the barista what she recommended .. so I got an Almond roca latte the way she likes it . Was very satisfied ? !

Back To The Grind is a one of a kind café experience! One of the biggest reasons that people go to cafés is for the atmosphere and I have never been anywhere that has such a unique identity as this café. The café somehow manages to foster a space that feels welcoming to liveliness while maintaining the coziness for a quiet study session. Couches next to interesting decorations on one side of the space and smaller tables near the front windows ensure that everyone finds what they're looking for. In addition, the interior design has such a special profile of chicano decoration, fantasy, and Chicago style brickwork that will give you plenty of material for inspiration. Finally, Back To The Grind takes advantage of its space for the community of Riverside by offering regular weekly events like jazz night and painting night. I wish I had come here earlier!
