Best on base Rod & Gun Club I have ever been to. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a large covered 100yd Pistol and rifle range, (center fire rifle weekends only)
Trap, Skeet and a small sporting clays facility. Trap and Skeet ranges are equipped with a voice calling system so you can get some practice rounds in even if your buddy can't make it....

In addition they have an Archery Range and a paintball/airsoft area on the area as well. Add to this an air-conditioned clubhouse that serves food during the weekdays and you have a top notch facility.

But there is more. They rent guns for use on the range, and provide the services of an FFL for firearms transfers. They have gun safety, hunters education and CCW Courses available throughout the year.

Club members even get a discount on range fees. Non military members of the public are welcome with a sponsor, so if you can get on base with your sponsor you are welcome to use the facility with them.

Basically ya can't beat em for service or value. Beale FSS runs a great facility and should be commended for their superlative efforts, that goes for all their other activities and operations as well.

The best place to shoot. I've always had a great time. The people are friendly and care about safety, which is always a plus. Great pricing on range time and lunch. I do also enjoy the rentals offered. Overall, if you can go, you should go.

Nice range with very positive and helpful staff. Previous major complainer (one star review) needs to learn how to use a telephone. Always call ahead to confirm the clubs hours of operation as they can vary from the published schedule due to staffing availability. I’ve used the range, sold a firearm through them and transferred/purchased guns through their FFL services. Great people, very low key and SAFE operation.

The Rod and Gun Club at Beale Air Force Base is a relatively nice establishment. However should you consider using them for a FFL transfer, I would strongly encourage you to find a more reliable option. Their hours of operation are not reliable, on days their webpage has indicated they were open, they in fact were closed. I have personally used them as an FFL transfer. After the stupid and pointless California 10 day waiting period, I returned to pick up my rifle only to find that they were closed for the weekend, Monday and Tuesday as well. Their webpage showed they were open all weekend, but they neglected to update the webpage to inform the people who counted on them to be open. This turned my 10 day waiting period, into a 20 day waiting period, because I was unable to pick up my rifle until the following weekend due to the hours and location of my job. I'm sure you can imagine how pissed off I was, and this is why I encourage you to find a more reliable FFL, for firearms transfer.

Jamie is real friendly and helpful. I have both used their 100yd range for shooting, and used them as receiving FFL on a gun purchase (no tax BTW). I also know they are working on the logistics for adding a 1000yd range in the future. I'll be back for sure.

I love this place it’s a great range with plenty of resources and targets for shooting and it’s just a fun time all around to come out and shoot guns here it’s very clean very well organized very well run.
