We had a wonderful stay here. The room was small but neat. We were arriving really late at night at 3 am. Matt stayed up to give us the keys and told us that we could check out later than 10 am. We were very grateful to be able to sleep in a little. In the morning, we were greeted with a breathtaking view of the Turnagain Arm just outside the motel.

We did not stay at the hotel, but we ate in the saloon. This is a really fantastic dive type place right on the Seward Highway. A great place to stop for lunch driving south from Anchorage. We were riding our bikes on the bike path along the highway enjoying the great views. The staff was really friendly and we played some darts while we waited for our burgers. You should stop there if you are in the area!

Alright, so let me start with the staff. Sarah and her husband (totally am spacing his name!) were so great and I really enjoyed hanging out at the bar with them.
If you want an off the beaten path, great price, clean rooms and a cool little saloon downstairs you should definitely stay here. Rooms are simple. No tv, not the best wifi (but like, were in Alaska so thats expected), but did have a mini fridge, comfy bed and a great warm shower. We stayed here for our last night as it was only a 30 min drive to anchorage. The hotels in anchorage had terrible reviews for the budget options. This was baby far the best decision we could have made. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Alaska. You want a real local experience? Stay here!!! <3 Thank you guys!

Room was great for the price it came for. It was an affordable one night stay before we headed to Seward as we landed in anchorage. Rooms are very thin walled so you can hear a lot of noise people coming in/out but again a stay for less than $100/night near anchorage is unbeatable.

The "bear" essentials. Perfect for the first or last night (or both) of a trip south of Anchorage. The cost savings is substantial, and the bar is unique and cozy. Also, it's good for a rest stop for a burger and a beer whichever direction you're headed. Check it out. BTW if you avoid hostles, you probably shouldn't stay here either. I thought it was great, though.

einfache und urige Unterkunft, direkt am Seward Highway gelegen. Nachts war es aber sehr ruhig. Leider wurde kein Frühstück angeboten.Wir waren zum Abendessen im Saloon, es war sehr nett dort , jede Menge Einheimische, das Essen war gut, nur leider waren die Wartezeiten lang, da nur eine Kraft für Bar, Küche und Essen zum Mitnehmen da war. Für einen Zwischenstop von einer Nacht bestens geeignet.

Great, quiet location and awesome price. Arrived late to Anchorage with a plane so this came very handy because it’s only like 20 mins drive from the airport. The room was tiny but clean. Bed was comfortable. They even have a little shelve where you can leave stuff you can’t take home at the end of your trip. And we were lucky to find a bearspray here for our week vacation. Thank you for whoever left it there. ?

Small room with basic amenities. Noisy at night either because of live music from the bar underneath or from other rooms (no noise isolation at all). Location is great. Driving along Seward Hwy is an awesome experience. Salmon burger at the bar was tasty.
