Butte 66 - Crested Butte, Colorado

I can’t even begin to explain how highly disappointed and disgusted I am with this place. We’ve been coming out to Crested Butte for many years and have looked forward to eating here. The service in the past was always friendly and food was amazing. Sometimes slow due to high volume, which I completely get during peak season.

However, today, the place was at 50% capacity. Our waitress was completely rude and rolled her eyes at us multiple times. Our food had chicken that was still frozen And when we said something, she just glared at us and did nothing. In hindsight, I should’ve had the manager come over and sent the food back - but did not want to make a stink as I recognize how difficult it is to find personnel to work - let alone good personnel.

The prices clearly are not worth the quality of food, which has gone way downhill. Then to add insult to injury, was told that policy is to add 20% tip for parties over 6. I might have left her 15% at most due to the “lack of service” and bad attitude.

I am completely done with this place even though we love coming to Crested Butte. I do not recommend eating here. There are too many other great options in CB to choose
from.

The Butte burger was a good, standard burger. The nachos were honestly gross. Soggy, layers of poor quality cheese. Even for a mountainside stop, I can't recommend it here.

We've eaten lunch here several times while skiing. It is right off the slopes and very convenient. The service has been good each time. We spent $50+ each time for 2 people, which is pretty expensive for lunch. The food is decent. We keep going back there mainly because of the location.

This place is always supremely slow on service. They have one small bar and not enough staff. Be prepared to wait 20min for your drinks to arrive.

I have never seen such a poorly run place in my life. Sat at table next to bar. Ordered 2 beers it took 20 minutes to get the beers. I ordered a second beer, it took 30 minutes. I actually paid my bill 10 minutes before I got the beer. Waitress disappeared because she was so embarrassed. I never seen so many staff standing around doing nothing. I do not understand why such poor service is acceptable.

Outstanding grilled chicken sandwich and fries. I added bacon and the chicken is really nicely grilled on a real grill, still juicy, and with fries that have that crunchy outside.

Day 3 at CB, and it’s by far the best food I’ve encountered.

Great spot for listening to the summer music at the base of Red Lady lift. Great pulled pork.

This place has a great second story patio however, it lacks service and cleanliness.

The management doesn’t hold this place accountable. That’s the problem. They know they’ll get the business as it’s at the base of the mountain.

I’m sitting at the bar and it’s filthy behind it.

We waited 20 minutes to get acknowledged.

There’s beer everywhere and the drafts quit working. Save your money.
