We arrived to see our names on a white board with our site and all the info you needed! The sites were spaciously placed with full hookups. . Laundry and bathroom easily accessible! Al, the owner came to greet us and was such a warm funny guy, who wasn’t in any hurry and shared an adult beverage! All the other campers were repeat customers who all looked forward to returning! We can’t wait to retuen!!

We spent 7 days at Canon Bonito RV Park and had the best time ever! The park itself is absolutely stunning but the people who run the park are so nice. Its family owned and they work their butts off to keep it beautiful. Its so refreshing to see a family work together, it restores your faith in humanity. Talking to Al is like talking to family, he is the nicest man ever. He always has a positive and friendly attitude and is willing to accommodate for anything. There are laidback campsite dogs who live there and are free to roam and visit the campsites. We found they were good company for our dogs. Speaking of which, our dogs had the best vacation ever, there is plenty of room for them to run and play and swim in the river. We will definitely be back next year.

This is the most peaceful and serene place we have visited. It is not the typical RV park. Not only are the spaces huge but the surrounding forest makes it feel like camping in the woods. And if you like fishing that’s a bonus because it’s right on the river. The owner is super nice. And as a bonus, his son has a mobile restaurant that serves the campground several times a week. Make sure to try his entrees. They are all delicious (check out the baby back ribs)!

This is an absolutely beautiful park!! Spots are large and away from highway. Just the sound of birds and the beautiful Conejos river. This place has spoiled us for any other park!! Laundry facilities on site and owners are wonderful, making sure every visitor has what they need. Book early as the secret is out! During the Summer there is even the treat of A.Jays Grill food truck on the weekends, best food ever!!

Almost don’t want to tell everyone how great a place is here…this is what happens when the owner creates a CG he would like to visit himself for an extended stay, and not just a profit center. Everyone we spoke with are multi-year visitors with high praise for Al & Canon Bonito. Al stopped by multiple times to visit & sit by our fire during a 3 day stay. The neighbors are horses, a few sheep, and a couple of herd dogs, oh - and fish. Ideal location to day trip to Taos, Chama, the aspens, or just hang under the cottonwoods & stars listening to the Conejos River. Wifi is better than great and seems to fully canvass the CG. We’ll be back in the spring for some birding….bowing deeply in Al’s general direction 🤠

Beautiful location that is peacefully separated but very convenient to town. Adjacent to the Conejos River and you can book private stretches for fly fishing. Huge cottonwood trees throughout the property, with a great mix of sun and shade. Level lots amidst natural surroundings. Very friendly owner/manager. Will definitely book again!

We stayed two nights at this quiet & peaceful campground. The host was so nice & helpful. His son has started a food truck there & we had the Colorado burger. It was the best burger we have ever had. It came with delicious fries. We would definitely go back again.

Fantastic place. Spaces are generously big. People are super friendly (especially the owner). Beautiful Southern Colorado setting next to river...what more could ya want. Can't wait to go back!
