Great spot to watch the Cave Creek Rodeo. Lots of parking , and safe is always very clean and fun

It was a nice Sunday afternoon rodeo. The vendors were nice but they were shutting down and leaving before the end of the rodeo, the food vendors. We wanted to get something to eat and drink so we were disappointed.

I had not been to a rodeo in many years. I had a great time. The Cave Creek Rodeo was lots of fun. I enjoyed the trick riding and the female steer roping event.

This is a rodeo arena, where they hold rodeos. The riders show up, get suited and walk to the horses they're going to ride. Yes, they do! Then they wave to their families, they wave! And then they go out and ride in the arena where they ride! This is a big deal! They really do ride! The people ride in events that they ride in, and they're all winners!!

We paid for VIP seating. The food offered wasn't really very good and I had to use two tickets to get one decent glass of wine. But the worst part was the seating. The reason we paid $50 a ticket was to get decent seating. There was no signage for the VIP area and it was not monitored so people who paid general admission were just walking in from the bleachers. There were at least six people near us who didnt belong there and we heard the same thing from at least two other people. It isn't fair to the folks who pay for special seating, especially those who came later when there were no seats left for them. Very very poor organization for this. If you offer VIP seating again you should make sure there are seats available for tickets sold. Also, what's with the heavy rock music? Rodeo is country, yes? We dont want to hear heavy rock music or rap. We're there for COUNTRY!!!!!

The area and the arena itself are maintained quite well. The staff I interacted with were wonderful and the Bison burger was fantastic. I considered only giving four stars because of an issue I had with the bleacher seating, however, because of this issue I reached out to the venue and was offered a bottle of Cave Creek bourbon as a mea culpa - the gesture was very much appreciated and made the experience five-star.
