Up until staying here, I did not like hostels but this is the first hostel I enjoyed and would happily stay at again!

All of my roommates were women traveling solo even though I didn’t think I could request this. I’m not sure how intentional this was but I really appreciated this as someone who was also a woman traveling solo. This made it easier to make a friend to ski with!

There was a big common area and there was often a little community hanging out there. There were people watching movies or football games and others playing board games. Everyone that I met was great!

There was plenty of kitchen equipment and space so that you could cook a solid meal if you wanted which was a nice option to have.

Before arriving I was concerned about parking because there is a street where you can only park on one side on even numbered days and the other side on odd numbered days which would mean you’d have to move your car every day. I arrived just around check in time on a Friday and didn’t have an issue finding a spot where I didn’t have to worry about this.

It’s super easy to get to the base area to ski from here as there is a shuttle stop on the same block, and it’s also easy to walk to downtown CB.

I found this place through Airbnb but saved around $20 by booking directly through the hostel website instead so I recommend looking into this for anyone interested in booking!

My only constructive feedback was that the women’s bathroom is not easily seen depending on where your room is located and my room was right across from the men’s bathroom with the door often propped open which made it harder to notice the sign. On the first night I didn’t realize that this was the men’s bathroom and used it a few times, and I know I wasn’t the only one who did this. It might be helpful for new guests if the hostel did something to make it more obvious that there is a separate bathroom for women for those guests who are on the opposite side of the building.

I would definitely stay here again! Helpful staff went out and bought a fan for our room on a hot summer evening. Clean and comfortable. A good value for the area. Nice common area and amenities to do your own cooking. Plenty of storage for bikes and skis. Right next door to a Laundromat!

Wonderful! The host was amazing and allowed me to check in early. I had been camping/hiking for 4 days and needed a good long shower and a cozy bed.
Laundromat next door was super helpful and the location couldn’t be better with walkability to anywhere in CB.
I did a shared bunk room and the other guests were quiet and courteous.
Clean clean clean!! From the rooms to the bathroom to the fully equipped modern kitchen. This place is a gem for people traveling on a budget and I highly recommend!

10 min walk to downtown. We booked the private room with bathroom and it was perfect for us. Seamless check-in/check-out using access codes. Would definitely stay again.

Awesome, high-quality hostel that has high-end touches and has very clean facilities. Staff is great and I would highly recommend this over and Airbnb, even if traveling as a couple.

perfect for those late check in guys. All electric lock only needs password then you can enter the room. The lobby is amazing, cozy sofa, big tv, two stove and refrigerator. And the room is clean and simple. There is one small issue: no clue why the shower controller is opposite. Turning to hot coming out cold. Turning to cold coming out hot.

We stayed here in the Queen bed room (shared bathroom) from Sunday-Tuesday in late July at the end of the Wildflower Festival. It was a gorgeous clean space with a well-stocked kitchen with more coffee options than I expected. The downstairs is air-conditioned but the rooms are not but come with a fan. When we visited, the days were in the low 70ºs (F) and night swere in the 40ºs (F) so it cooled off as we slept. Very nice 12-minute walk to most restaurants in town. Highly recommend staying here.
The only strange thing that I experienced was that both the sink and shower faucet handles worked in the opposite direction than what was indicated for hot & cold. Also, for someone who gets up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, the bright bathroom lights (on a motion sensor) are a shock to my eyes. Don't know how to solve that. That's life in your mid 50s.

The facility is clean and lovely, had a nice stay previously but I’m just disappointed to have paid 200$ for the worst night of sleep. Drunk hotel patrons came home loud and throwing things (walls are paper thin) and door slams happened all night. I feel like they’re making enough money to incorporate features that prevent door slamming. Also a fan would be nice in the room, was so hot!
