What an incredible camp! Located in the "backwoods" of Fraser, CO, this camp offers everything (and more!) that you expect of a Young Life camp. I've been to Crooked Creek four times and have loved it every time, as well as other Young Life camps. This is by far my favorite. The "forced fun" activities are good but even better are the hiking trails and all of the other amenities. Getting out in nature in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, with the deep smell of pine and aspen, is incredible. What's most important is that God's spirit is present; He shows up in powerful ways and I always leave refreshed.

I visited this ranch for a Captivating retreat. The retreat was very lackluster but the ranch is beautiful and the food is amazing. The reason for 1 star is I didn’t feel safe at the retreat at all. There doesn’t seem to be any security of any sort at this place.

I stayed here last weekend with my school. I had never attended a Young Life camp and I was very impressed overall. The accommodations were great, all the buildings were very nice and it was cool how they all had a cohesive theme (Western themed.) The food was excellent, the dining hall is spacious and has huge glass windows which allow you to overlook the camp. My only complaint was with my cabin’s showers and bathrooms, they were not as bad as other camps I have been to but they could’ve been cleaner. However, I know that is something you just have to deal with at camp so that wasn’t a huge issue for me. The campsite is absolutely gorgeous, I loved the views of the mountains that were so prevalent. I went on the zipline during free time one day and it was awesome, it’s a short ride and not super fast but it was really fun. The staff were very professional in helping us which was comforting, but the wait to zipline was pretty long because of the amount of campers we had. If you go in the fall/winter definitely make sure you pack layers! I did not have room for enough layers in my backpack and I regret not bringing more items to keep myself warm. Overall I loved my experience at Crooked Creek and look forward to coming back!

The camp was great. Awesome accommodations. Not too much, but more than comfy. Great food. Excellent common room and theater. Great outdoors experiences...creeks, zip lines, hikes, mountain views. Just far enough away (about 2 hours) from Denver, but close enough to not have to travel so far. Elevation is nearly 9000, so it takes your breath away, literally. All said and done, after 4 great days, I'd go back in a heart beat.

YL Camp changes life's for middle school and high school kids for them to come for a camp that is made just for them. I cannot recommend this place enough to attend, work at, and pray for. The Lord is present in every room and every space!

Was here for a Ransomed Heart Boot Camp and had an outstanding stay!!! Great ranch\campus. Dinning hall was spacious and grand, check in was easy, auditorium was laid out nicely and cabin bunks were clean and comfortable.||||The ability to be undisturbed by the outside world was a big plus for me. You can get to town quickly should the need arise....but that never happened to me! I had a great 4 day stay here. The Young Life staff were a large part of this....friendly yet industrious. ||||If you have a chance, stay here! You won't regret it! Oh, and their Buena Vista ranch is equally impressive.||||Thanks Young Life!!!

Only 15/20 minutes from Fraser/Winter Park, respectively, Crooked Creek is an excellent location. The winter staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful to our needs as a church retreat. The rooms are large and have there own bathrooms. We had no problem with the room temperature at night even as the outdoors dropped into the negatives. It was a clean environment. Food was A+, much much better than I expected from a camp.
