Multiple visits make this a favorite spot. Don't look for "atmosphere" but great food, a bit $$$ as is every place. I've never seen more than about 6 people at any time, makes me go [shrug]. The waitress was pleasantly fantastic. Later found out it was her 1st day 🤯. 2 full sized lunches and 2 soft drinks $35+/- plus generous tip for the service. Make the drive on the "gun barrel" road to the north edge of Monte Vista, worth the short trip.

All the qualities of a 5 star restaurant. My only negative was the drinks. I suggest adding some kind of filtration system to take that rotten egg taste away. My soda and water had that taste. After I had a bottle filled with water i could see things floating in the water. I tasted it before running it through my filter and it still had the rotten taste. After i filtered it the taste went away.

This restaurant has been a staple in the community for as long as I’ve been alive and I’m 50 years old it was my very first job when I was 14 years old doing dishes they make great food and the owners are very nice man and after all these years, it’s still nice to see him when you walk in.

I would give it -5 stars if I could. This was the worst food my boyfriend and I have ever had. Not only did they have basically nothing available in the buffet they advertised, only to charge over $40, but not even an hour after we left, I had the worst stomachache in the middle of nowhere, leaving me thinking I’d have explosive diarrhea on the side of the road. The next day, my boyfriend got extreme food poisoning, leaving him with a stomachache, throwing up all day, practically ruining our very important trip to our future home in Utah. The fact that this place has such good reviews is beyond me as the food served was barely good enough for our dogs. I couldn’t even break a rib in half to give it to them after we left, because I couldn’t even eat anything other than the cold fries/potatoes/whatever they want to call it from their buffet.

Had a great experience here. Food was very good as well. I would reccomend this place to anyone looking for somewhere new to try out. Was very full but the food was great and shows why it was busy.
