Dinner at Ellie’s tonight was so good! I had the grilled salmon. It was perfectly done, perfectly seasoned, fresh and delicious. The chopped salad is elegant and could easily be a meal on its own. The bread pudding was different from what I’ve had at other restaurants but was very good.
I highly recommend Ellie’s for ambiance, service and wonderful food.

The other spots are great! But if you want cozy, intimate, quiet and relaxing, tasty and fine dining, this is your place! The service is sincere wonderful and Joy the owner and chef are truly amazing! Make this your dining pleasure tonight! ?

After a day on the town, we looked forward to stopping at Ellie's after a friend's recommendation. Chef Joy made us one of the best halibuts I've ever had over a lovely sweet potato persimmon hash. We also enjoyed a perfectly prepared filet mignon with the best mash potatoes to exist. I even ordered an extra side of them!! For dessert we had a melt-in-your-mouth bread pudding that you really must try! The apple crisp was also good without being too sweet and just the right amount of ice cream to complement every bite.

The ambiance is fantastic. The small quaint interior is clean and cozy with low lighting that sets the mood. The wine list was quite impressive and I can't wait to come back for the $10 wine nights! There's a big wrap-around balcony outside w amazing views - this will be a wonderful place to spend the warm summer nights w friends.

Lastly, Chef Joy even came to our table to check in on us and the service was spectacular without feeling stuffy. Menus change monthly and feature local seasonal ingredients which will keep me coming back to see what's new. Friendly staff, impressive ambiance, and delicious food make this a noteworthy five-star experience. Highly recommended!

Wow! Great dinner. Best place we ate at while visiting Solvang/ santa Ynez. Atmosphere was a rustic romantic ambience. Food was all amazing. Chris, our waitress was phenomenal. Very attentive and charismatic. We will definitely come back. 5 stars for sure. Oh... and the chicken liver with dijon was sooooo good!

So glad we found this place. The facade didn't do it justice. You walk into a beautiful quaint and cozy, welcoming restaurant. The decor with the subtle yet elegant chandeliers and the cozy tables with the right lighting. And the chef table right there for us to see and smell all the wistful dishes.
All starters and main dishes were amazing. You can't go wrong with any of them. Our group voted, and in unanimous decisions, the plates came in this order
1st curried pork osso bucco. Served in a bowl over Janine rice, spicy, and so tender. It melted on our mouths. The
2nd lobster mac and cheese. It's not my usual plate to order but I'm glad I decided on it, Wow!! the pasta was cooked to a perfect tender, and the lobster was great. The balance with the cheese not to make it overwhelming was surprising.
3rd Salmon Veracruz. Perfect tenderness. Served over greens. I've never eaten olive with my fish. Might do fun now on. The combination of ingredients were delicious for this plate.
3rd Beef Stroganoff , again, pasta cook to perfect tender, beef was delicious and tender.
A must get is the astounding bread pudding, trust me, you'll thank me. I can't put into words how delightfully sinful this treat is. I had different bread puddings, from other states to other countries. But this one WOW!!

What a sweet find! Everything from decor, delicious food and options, wine list, ambience, and views. This is a must to check out! The owner and chef made a special point to chat and serve our dinner. A homey, comfortable, and yummie dinner out! We highly recommend it. We had the halibut cooked to perfection and the roasted chicken, moist and flavorful. A delightful night out in every way possible way!

I took a trip to Solvang with my lovely lady, and as expected. Crazy long lines, no reservations. We stumble upon this very minimal restaurant, and were blown away by the atmosphere and delicious food. Crab & Cheese appetizer was amazing. She got the chicken, top tier. I got the filet mignon, it melted in my mouth. Both served on a bed on mashed potatoes. Absolutely recommend. Brock was our server, he was outstanding.

I came here for the first time with my husband on our weekend get away at solvang and this place is exactly what we want.
Service : Friendly and awesome! All of them even they are not my server and I just walked by,They are so polite.
Food :
We got an Artichoke Dip with bread and it’s my first time for Artichoke and I’m impress! It’s soooo yummy.
My husband got a Pork Chop and It was really really really good! So flavorful with seasoning and the sauce.By the way,The mash that come with it was one of the most well seasoning mash potato We have ever had.
I got a mussels in Asian style coconut milk broth.It was good! But I am Asian,So for my Asian test I think it could be a little less lime juice and add a little touch of salt or fish sauce or soy sauce to it,It would be perfect but that’s just my personal preference.Would I order it again? I sure would! It’s still a good dish.
Last but not least was the Chocolate Mousse.The whipped cream was great! And the mousse itself sure did not disappointed! It’s not a soft creamy mousse if that’s what you expect but the texture it’s like an ice cream and that’s what I like!
Next time coming to Solvang,Are we coming back here?! That would be our first choice for our dinner! We love this place!
