After driving through an impressive mountain snow storm that made the trip longer than anticipated. We were all hungry and a member of our party suggested Fidel's.
Wow! I'm glad we took her advice, the food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was inviting.
We all agreed it was and is a enjoyable dining experience

we had a great server & the owners even came out to say hi to us! great food all around. next time I'm trying the enchiladas!

Immediately upon walking in for dinner the hostess was super friendly and welcoming, I knew it was going to be a good date night already!

Our server, Emma kept the hospitality and kindness going. She was excellent, attentive and so sweet! I can’t get over how well the staff worked together. From hostess, to server, to the runner who delivered our food and drinks. They were a well oiled machine. ㅤᵕ̈

The pineapple habanero margarita and the “happy place” cocktail were both so good. And the food was to die for! My husband got 3 different tacos, and all were so well done. I did the palisade plunge bowl with roasted cauliflower and the flavor was excellent. ㅤᵕ̈

I’m used to living near Aspen so I’m still shocked by the reasonable food and drink prices in this area. We can’t wait to come back, especially with such excellent staff! 10/10 stars ✨

Wir kamen mittags in Palisade an und das Restaurant Fidel's enttäuschte weder unsere Mägen noch uns. Direkt beim Betreten wurde man freundlich und hilfsbereit begrüßt, die Kellnerin konnte uns auch Empfehlungen für Getränke geben, von denen die Auswahl recht groß war. Zusammen mit den Tischen innen neben der Bar und außen unter den Sonnenschirmen eine sehr entspannte und euphorische Atmosphäre.

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen wurde serviert, insbesondere der Burrito, den wir bestellt hatten, schmeckte exzeptionell! Auch die Dips zu den Nachos waren alle sehr gut und sowohl spicy als auch mild, vor allem die Guacamole gefiel uns sofort. 🙂

Man muss lediglich damit rechnen, dass die Preise etwas höher ausfallen werden.

Ate at the bar and had excellent service for terrific food. Do not miss the quesabirria and the deconstructed elotes. Make reservations in advance. Even for Monday night at 6:15. If you want to go out as a couple, you might want to go a little later, as we found the place packed with families and their small children. Just a point of information. Timing was off for us as we were on the road early and wanted to eat early as well. But if you are in town don't miss this one.

We rolled into town from the front range for a weekend getaway and were looking for a good place for a quick bite. We stood outside and checked out the menu, but didn’t want to jump on the first thing we saw. The host pleasantly poked her head outside and let us know that the brunch menu, not posted, was still available. We walked around the neighborhood but decided to stop in to Fidel’s for a drink and quick lunch. We each had a single (large) taco (Oaxacan and fish) and split chips and salsa accompanied by a house mezcal margarita. The salsas were subtle and delicious and the chips were warm and fresh. The drinks were good enough that one quickly turned into two. The owner, Jeff, stopped by our charming patio table to check on us and asked if we liked mezcal. This quickly turned into him sitting down with us to talk and sample some of his favorite mezcals. He pulled out a map of Palisade and gave us personalized recommendations for wineries and bike rides for our weekend and he even invited us to join in on a locals cruiser ride the following day. Just pleasant, welcoming experience. Couldn’t recommend this spot more!

Fantastic restaurant!

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
The drinks were refreshing and delicious.
The staff was super friendly and provided great recommendations.

Each dish came out wonderfully hot and scrumptious.
There was so much flavor in each bite.

Great recipes and execution of twists on classics.

Would return if ever driving by Palisade again.

One of the few restaurants in town. Make a reservation in advance. Service and vibe were good but the food was just ok. The pozole was unique dish but lacked a little spice. The chicken on the salad was not appetizing at all. My friend really enjoyed her tacos though!
