When I first walked into the restaurant i noticed the space! You are not elbow to elbow! I was greeted immediately! The overall vibe was uplifting. The food was so so good. The appetizers we choose were chips we had the salsa, cheese sauce, and my favorite was the guacamole! The meat is not dried out more like juicy to perfection, condiments are fresh. The staff is perfect with timing for making sure you are taken care of! I was very comfortable here. We will definitely be back.

Update. They closed this week. Concept just did not take off in Foco. We wish the owners well on their next endeavor. 👍👍

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Field House @ The Fort on June 2, 2023, during the mid-afternoon. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the stage for an enjoyable dining experience. A.J. Campbell, the owner of the restaurant, has clearly created a space that reflects his passion and dedication to providing exceptional food and service.

Upon being seated at the bar, we were fortunate to have Dominique as our server. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor added to the overall positive experience. She was knowledgeable about the menu and readily available to assist us throughout our meal.

To start, we decided to try the blueberry mojito, and it was a refreshing and delicious choice. The balance of flavors was perfect, with just the right amount of sweetness from the blueberries. It set the tone for what was to come—a delightful culinary journey.

For our main courses, we selected a variety of dishes that showcased the diverse menu at Field House @ The Fort. The Lamb Burger with house-made potato chips was a standout. The lamb patty was succulent and perfectly cooked, and the accompanying potato chips were crispy and seasoned to perfection. It was evident that the quality of the ingredients played a significant role in enhancing the flavors of this dish.

We also had the pleasure of trying the Flatbread-style pizza made with homemade dough. We customized our pizza with pepperoni, red onion, and mushrooms. Although the bottom of the pizza was slightly burned, the flavors were not compromised. The toppings were generous, and the combination of ingredients created a delicious medley of flavors.

Additionally, we indulged in the Chicago-style hot dogs, which were a true treat. These meaty and substantial hot dogs were larger than the typical ones you would find, and they were bursting with flavor. The fact that most proteins are locally sourced from a farm in Ault, as mentioned by A.J. Campbell, the owner, added to the overall appeal as we finished our meal.

Throughout our lunch, the service provided by the staff was exceptional. The engagement of both the owner and the employees was evident, and it contributed to the overall positive atmosphere of the restaurant. It's clear that Field House @ The Fort prioritizes creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for their guests. The owner is excited about his new place and that excitement is transfered to his customers.

In conclusion, my visit to Field House @ The Fort was a delightful experience. The combination of exceptional service, locally sourced ingredients, and the passion of the owner and staff made for a memorable dining experience. While my pizza had a minor flaw with the slightly burned bottom, the overall quality of the food and the enjoyable ambiance more than made up for it. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic meal and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Welcome to Fort Collins!

Love this new spot in old town! Staff and owner are friendly. Dominique, our server was especially personable and professional. The lamb burger is AMAZING!! Will definitely be back for the burger, great service, and easy going atmosphere.

I’ve been twice, and food is generally pretty good. Service was pretty underwhelming. Tonight when we went, server basically didn’t acknowledge our four year old daughter - he brought water for everyone except her, so we had to ask for a drink for her. He also brought silverware for everyone except her. Doesn’t make it seem like a place that is interested in serving families. He also couldn’t be bothered to attend to our table unless we flagged him down, which would be understandable if it was a busy night, but we were one of only two tables tonight, he just seemed more interested in playing with his phone and watching tv than paying any attention to us. I was especially surprised by this as the owner was sitting at the bar for a good portion of the time we were there, and he didn’t seem bothered by the lack of service being performed by his staff. Maybe there’s a reason it was so dead in there…?

Food is lackluster; canned ingredients on the pizza, chorizo is more like dry sausage. The drinks were either too sweet with premade mixes or too spicy (I can take heat and the jalapeño margarita was not drinkable). The fresh-cut fries were good but under seasoned.

The restaurant is super loud even with few people in it. Some decent local beers and spirits but service, ambience and food make it unpleasant.

Ya know, we were a bit skeptical from the reviews, but it’s so clear that this place is prioritizing their food and customer experience. The burgers were incredible - much much better than that dry thin McDonalds-esque patty that Stuft served us last week. Also, in response to the previous review on the drinks being either “too sweet or too spicy,” the marg I got was perfectly balanced and the bartender even made it a point, saying “hey if this is too sweet or too spicy just let us know and we’ll swap it out.” Clearly they’re taking the feedback they’ve received and trying to perfect their operations. Psyched to have you guys in old town. We’ll be back.

The chicken sandwich was tiny and way below expectations for $17. The macaroni and cheese was identical to kraft from the store. They need to balance the quality/quantity to the price. The Hot dogs were probably the only thing I can say to order.

Appetizer was cold, missing ingredients, and tasted like nacho cheese from 7-11. My burger was over cooked and in pieces. Listened to the employee complain about customers who had issues with the food previously. Looks like a trend and definitely not a good look.
