Reunion for 94year old mother. It was perfect place to celebrate family and friends with comfortable informal gatherings, 11 of us stayed at lodge and 30 to 50 plus people in and out for meals and visits over 4 days. Plenty of room and great view in large living room with nice deck. Kitchen had everything you needed and big enough for lots of helping hands. Ron was great host. Thanks for making this an exceptional experience for all of us.

After 7 days on a cruise with rather tight quarters, we were so happy to arrive to Flat Fish Lodge and have a great sized room with a queen bed for each of us! And a sofa! And the view out the livingroom window was absolutely incredible! This is a beautiful lodge. We felt very welcomed and were well taken care of. They went out of their way to accommodate my friend who is gluten free and also to pack us up a breakfast the first morning when we had to leave early for our fishing trip. I hope to make a trip back to Homer again someday and would love to stay here again. Thank you so much!

I booked online for one night and wanted to book an additional room. I talked with the guy repeatedly over the course of the day about booking in person the additional room and arranged a time to call him back to make the booking. Nowhere on the website and at no time in our conversation was I told there was a "two night minimum", but at some point while I was booking the additional room he pulled that out and told me that he could not make an exception and blamed it all on the online booking. I told him I had already been charged and was surprised he didn't want the business. I was astonished at how unhelpful and rude he was. To me this was a typical tourist"fleece and release". Too bad they thought I was just another tourist, but I'm actually an Alaska local with friends who have lived in Homer for decades.
In contrast, recently I had a minor booking fiasco with a winery in California and not only did they bend over backwards to try to fit us in, they also upgraded us to a luxury suite! Now that was customer service and they not only made customers for life but free advertising among friends and family. To me, it was a very wise decision from a customer service perspective- I was so impressed by how much they valued our business and our experience. On the other end of the customer service , what we have here is someone that has a captive audience and zero incentive to actually provide an honest and quality service.

This was one of the best B&B we’ve ever stayed at. Ron is always there when you need him and goes above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable.
First of all, the view of the spit and glaciers are absolutely breathtaking. I think we counted three glaciers that we were able to see right from our living room, bed room and porch. The apartment was super clean and stocked with all the essentials. There is a library and a game room in the lodge which was a hit with our kids.
The location is a few minutes away from the spit and the downtown area in a quaint neighborhood. There is a nice backyard and fire pit for the guests to use. We saw bald eagles, pheasants and moose right outside of the lodge.
Ron is a great host and cooked delicious breakfast for us every morning. He knows the area very well and gave us a lot of ideas for day trips. He even let us use his personal laundry machines when we had to do laundry on the last day of our stay.

Beautiful views, super clean, easy to get to the spit if you have a car, but most of all was the service! We were unbelievabley taken care of. Breakfast was hot, fresh and had variety every morning. Ron even had a to go breakfast packed the day we left early to catch a boat. He even included a water bottle for each of us and a granola bar for a snack on the boat. And delicious coffee to go! Over the top service and a beautiful place to stay and relax in AK! Really enjoyed meeting 2 other guests in the common area and sharing experiences with them as well

Terrible accomodation with unrespectfull and lying hosts. I got 2 months ago a confirmed booking for 5 people. Accomodation is probably double booked, they just cancelled my booking a week before my departure. Hosts are lying that i did credit card fraude and that the creditcard is not valid, just because if they are lying and saing that, they can cancell my booking without having to search a similar accomodation for my group (booking done with booking.com) and they can cancel without costs. Alle proofs are send from the bank and the paiment was even done with my valid creditcard (even when i had to pay only on arrival, but i prefered to have the bill paid before departure). Still they are lying and refunded the money what was already on there account, because it was a proof that the credit card is valid. Never book there, because they will just cancel you because they got probably a double booking. And it will cost you much more to book last minute another accomodation, and this owners just dont care about it. I am a host myself from different accomodation. Its a shame for the sector, that there are hosts working and lying like the flat fish lodge owners.

Flatfish B&B was amazing! Spectacular view. The rooms were very clean and neat with all necessary amenities. Ron is an exceptional host and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and the breakfast was so good. Highly recommend them if you are visiting Homer.
