I know that I enjoyed this place much more when it was Wildwood. There's quite a few key differences now that it's owned by a bigwig like Golden Nugget (who owns places in Vegas as well as online sport betting casinos not available to Coloradians). You can no longer buy pints of 99 vodkas at the liquor store because they rake in the $ by selling it to us in overpriced airplane shooters. The staff will openly complain about how cheap and not so well paying the new management is. There's also a huge turnover with waitresses and waitstaff there, which says just as much. I can say one thing though, that their promotions are pretty outstanding. Mostly offering free hotel stays at your choice hotel. I prefer the one with the pool, Gold King Inn, which also offers a continental breakfast. Aside from there promotions, while attending to they offer huge amounts of winnings for contests and free slots. That's a plus! It's all about the money right?

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The hotel advertised a pool, but what they failed to mention was that it was not within walking distance. Instead, we had to drive up a hill to access it, which was inconvenient and frustrating.

Upon checking in, we encountered a clogged toilet in our room. Rather than offering us a different room, the staff took two full hours and multiple attempts to fix it, splashing toilet water around in the process. It was not only unpleasant but completely unacceptable. To add to the frustration, the TV in our room was not connected to the network, and although they sent someone to fix it, it took additional time.

Given the series of issues we encountered, we expected some form of compensation, but nothing was offered. We ended up paying the full price for a stay that was far from what was promised or expected. I would not recommend this hotel to others, as the lack of timely service and resolution left us feeling completely unsatisfied.

Super friendly hotel staff ... everyone from the front desk, housekeepers and maintenance. Loved our stay. Great room. My only complaint was the curtains were not blackout, so sleeping in didn't go too well. We had a mountain suite.

The casino is just across from the drop off at the hotel. There is a shuttle service that will pick you up and drive you to the other casinos in town. They're a quick 5 minutes away.

Great little place to stay for families! Worked out well that we did not have to go through the Casino with our children, their shuttle will bring you anywhere in town, pool was just up the road at their other property (shuttle will take you) and was HEATED! Staff was friendly, Dana was amazing! We had a small issue trying to link our reservations and she made it work so smoothly! If we return, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This review is for my boyfriend. He was staying at the 119 Carbonate St location. He was there for a couple of months. The hotel itself was in a sketchy part of town with sketchy people around the hotel. The rooms lacked cleaning, water pressure was terrible from one room to the other. There was smells of cigarette smoke on one floor and weed on the other but that wasn't the worst of it. The second to the last week he was there he woke up to itching and burning on his body. He got up turned lights on and watched bed bugs scatter. He had bites all over his body. He went down to the front desk to complain and the guy tells him "oh no we have bed bugs again ". The front desk guy even gave him the cream that he used for his bed bugs bites (he lived in the hotel). What kind of hotel is run like this? They moved him to another room but by then the damage was done. Who can sleep knowing that bed bugs is something that just happens here. He had to replace all of his stuff. Not to mention the toll it took on him. It's disgusting. Stay away from this hotel especially if you have a family or even if you just want to sleep in a clean room.

The lady that checked us in was great! Super friendly, overall pleasure to deal with. The room was clean, the bedding was comfy, and the bed was comfortable. The largest issue we had was that TV was slow to load, the fridge dripped water all over our drinks and fruit when it defrosted, and then started clicking in the early morning hours. The worst part of the stay is when a guy walked into our room at 1:28 am. We were shocked, he was shocked, and he apologized profusely stating he was given the key to the room and would go fix it with the front desk. The front desk deactivated our key, unbeknownst to us. We found that put when my husband couldn't get bavk in our room.

In the morning, the person working the front desk didn't seem to care overly much that it had happened and seemed a little put out that we wanted management to know. He did notate it. I'm just glad we were in our room when it happened and didn't have an issue with anything being lost or worse.

This place is great. The staff is friendly, the rooms are nice and clean with some amenities. Coffee is helpful to have when I wake up. The casino is also clean. The atmosphere is relaxed. The steakhouse (Saltgrass) inside has great food.
