Full Disclosure: This property is in process of being sold so some info may change. My wife and I stayed here for a night. It's a cute spot and breakfast was great! It's next to a general store and close to lake too. Mattress was in great condition. Very nice garden too! My main issue was the heat and lack of A/C. It was 94 degrees at Bucks Lake when we arrived, and none of the rooms have A/C. It was tough to keep cool as it was still 85 degrees at 10 PM. Also, the elderly owners don't open windows at night in common areas so it gets stuffy! Also, check in time is prior to 7 PM (elderly owners) so make sure you can get there early!

To start, Dixie, Ken and Deb are wonderful wonderful people full of life and engaging conversation. I’d like to personally thank each of them for making my stay feel like home away from home. ||The Inn is so relaxing and peaceful. Nighttime I kept the window and door to my balcony open and fell asleep / awoke to the sounds of birds chirping and cricket singing their songs. This place has everything one would need in a clean, friendly, well decorated style. ||There are six rooms each with their unique names and accompanying decorations. I stayed in the Victorian for most of the nights and started in the largest room, the Honeymoon Suite. All rooms have access to the outside. 3 rooms face the peaceful and beautiful lawn and gardens, 3 rooms face the road (but it’s not noisy). ||The included breakfast and conversation each morning with Dixie was a perfect way to start the day. ||Right next door is the Haskins Store, a quaint little general store offering everything one would like from camping and camper parts to fishing supplies, ponchos for the rain and every bit of grocery items to satisfy your cravings. The breakfast burritos are delicious, hot dogs are filling and many delicious sandwiches.||For dining the Lakeshore is right down the street for a bigger meal and drinks. ||I was here on business and will be back for more business but am looking forward to bringing my wife back someday soon. ||This inn is a rear treat and a true retreat. ||The Bucks Lake area is THE place to stay when coming to Quincy. The town is just 25 minutes away but up here you feel like you are away from it all.

What a nice place to stay for several days near Buck Lake. No TVs or telephones in the rooms, wasn’t that nice. Nice upper deck where The six of us enjoyed wine and conversation. Everywhere you look at the inn was a pleasure. Lots of very nice walks to take. Overall we spent an exceptional three days and would go back again. They are not open during the deep winter season but from early spring to late fall you couldn’t go wrong.

There are lots of rules: No food allowed in the rooms (seeing as there are only two restaurants around Bucks Lake, what about the lunch and snack food we brought along for a three-day stay at the lake?); limit two guests per room, even if the third guest is a young kid, despite the fact that the rooms are quite large for a B&B; we weren't allowed to play games on the living room table or common areas (e.g., Scrabble, Boggle), because owners are worried their tables will be scratched, so we had to take our games outside to the porch; two signs around the kitchen area say "No cooking, staff only." The rooms are pleasant and relatively spacious, with nice jacuzzi tubs and showers (though one wonders at the wisdom of taking a bath during this drought), but there is no where to put your stuff in the rooms. I saw three of the six rooms, and they all have either wardrobes or a chest of drawers, but guess what -- they're all full of the owners' stuff! The garden is lovely and there are lots of books and games around for guests to use, but, ultimately, the place does not have a hospitable feel. I felt I had to tiptoe around the whole time I was there.

This is a very nice, quite, clean, peaceful place to stay. The lady (Dixie) that served our breakfast, set us up on the patio ans served a very nice breakfast (fruits, muffins, omelet, juice and coffee) she was friendly and very polite. My husband and I planned on leaving by 7 AM, we enjoyed our stay so much we didn't leave untill check out time. Thank you so much for our much needed peace and rest, we'll be back. Give a 5 stars review.

This is a very comfortable B&B. I wanted to spend the weekend at Bucks Lake in conjunction with a 50-year reunion at Meadow Valley. While I had a reservation up the road at the Timberline Inn (a motel) run by Bucks Lake Lodge (with cabins), I had the very good fortune to stop at Haskins Inn first looking for a friend who had a reservation there. Two of us found the Timberline motel to be a great disappointment, but there was room at Haskins and the change made all the difference. Large, well-appointed rooms and each day started with a substantial breakfast. Haskins Inn doesn't cater to families, but it would be a good venue for couples drawn to Bucks Lake and ideal for seniors accompanying a family outing at one of the many near-by campgrounds.

It was really good. I got to camp out in a tent with my two sisters, their husband's, one baby Olivia ? ? and my dad. It was soo much fun. The weather was really good. I got to go swimming ?‍♂️ ? out on some ⛱ beaches. It was a blast. I could do it again.
