Biscuits and gravy fan? Then you will love the biscuits and gravy here. They are the best I've had in a while. The biscuits are so soft they practically melt in your mouth. The gravy with the sausage is very well flavored.

The staff is awesome and accommodating.

We asked to make the eggs on our biscuits and gravy plate into an omelette as the entree was being split between 2 people. They were happy to accommodate.

The omelette was outstanding as well. Fluffy eggs filled with mushrooms, cheese and topped with tomato.

We also got a side of the delicious (with a bit of a kick) green chili to put on the omelette too.

The club sandwich was great, salmon good, breakfast was not that great, mac and cheese was bland. Good for a hotel hole in the wall. The service made it all better. The guys were entertaining and friendly.

We like coming here to eat and everyone is usually nice. But today the customer service was soooo awful!!!!
Our waitress seemed annoyed, didn't let us finish ordering when she was taking our menus away, and walked away. She was mean and seemed like we were bothering her. The host at the front was kind of standoffish and mean. I like this place but they ruined our dinner. They seemed annoyed that we had our son with us. I've been to the cafe plenty of times but I don't think I'll be coming back. Management needs to get on everyone about their customer service.

5/11/24: This is a small diner-like cafe. Our server Bailey had a horrific attitude. She assumed all we wanted were waters. She asked if we were ready to order, we started with an appetizer and before we could order our meal, she assumed that’s all we wanted and left to go put the order in. We went without water for a while (which was the only option she gave us). 2 out of our burgers in our group of 4 were WAY overdone, with unpleasant burnt char, and the Philly meat was burnt. We ordered a $10 appetizer of onion rings and got the pathetic basket you see in the pictures. Every one else that worked there seemed cheerful and helpful but we really got the short end of the stick tonight. We wanted to speak up when we were asked multiple times if things were okay but we were with friends and didn’t want to create a fuss, we also wanted to order more but was afraid lol hopefully this was just a bad night for her AND the kitchen, but with how AWFUL we were treated I won’t be back to find out. Ever.

We stayed in Cripple Creek the last couple of days and had 3 meals at the Home Cafe in the Bronco Billy’s casino. The food and service was excellent at each meal. I would like to recognize our server for two of the meals. Gina was fantastic. She really cares about her job and providing great service to her customers. They have great teamwork with the staff and she really cares about her fellow employees too.

The worst meal I had while I was in Cripple Creek for business. I ordered the steak medium/rare but I was served very rare. The steak had no flavor and I had to add lots of salt and pepper. Fries were good, as were the asparagus.
The chicken noodle soup was even worse. Just plain water with pieces of chicken/noodle & veggies thrown in. This was definitely no broth. Once again I had to use salt & pepper to get somewhat of a flavor.

I've eaten here many times and have never been wowed, but my last visit was a real treat. I wanted something different that I hadn't ordered before, so I ordered the turkey bacon avocado sandwich. The sourdough bread was toasted to perfection with ample amounts of turkey and avocado and the bacon fit right in. It's not often that I find a sandwich or burger that impresses me, but this sandwich did and I'll be back for another. The staff was friendly and attentive and based on the food that was carried by our table, it seems like the quality has improved greatly over the last year or so.
