Great service and food. Rolls were fresh and tasty. I started with a hot green tea on a chilly afternoon. I got the calamari appetizer and the hot night roll. My favorites so far!

GREAT SERVICE, BUT BLAND... it pains me to say this as the staff were absolutely wonderful. However, I have to be honest. I tried the edamame appetizers and they weren't a hit for me. Next, for the main course I had a order of veggie yakisoba w/ tofu and this also missed the mark big time. I didn't like that the noodles tasted store bought. Honestly I've had better maruchan noodles. The tofu was solid but it wasn't enough to save the dish. The fried fish looked good but I didn't get a chance to try it!

I didn't feel like sushi this time around so I might give this place another shot, however it's going to be a while till I come back. As I'm writing this we are in the middle of the summer in Idyllwild and things are heating up. I was further disappointed that this place did NOT have AC, it was very steamy in there which made my visit a bit uncomfortable. Again, I'm sad that I have to leave this review because our waitress was awesome! Hoping they improve their cooking soon!

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the sushi was, especially considering it was located in the mountains! The quality and freshness exceeded my expectations. The owner was incredibly kind and made the experience even more enjoyable. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive throughout the meal. If you're looking for great sushi in an unexpected location, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

It's a nice and cozy place to get some authentic asian food! A small cabin converted into a restaurant. It is apparently busy, but it's also the only sushi restraunt in Idy, so it's a favorite! We got the Crunch Roll and Tempura Cali Roll, which was delicious. It's right in town, making it convenient for takeout as well.

The service was great! The lady was very attentive, nice and she speaks English and Spanish ? The chicken teriyaki combo and sushi rolls were delicious! The ramen was decent, but the service and the cozy atmosphere made it all worth it, will definitely come back ✨

The restaurant is small inside, but they have outside seatings as well.
We ordered edamame, dragon roll, spicy tuna roll, and a beef udo. The total was 56.95.
Edamame was under cooked, dragon roll way too salty, spicy tuna roll was not spicy, other than the sauce on the rolls, they tasted plain, not much flavor. Lastly, the beef udo was flavorless. there's no seasoning or salt in the soup.
Overall, the food tastes below average, I don't recommend this restaurant.

Coming from Los Angeles, I'm picky about food and it's rare to find a sushi restaurant in the mountains but even more rare to find a sushi restaurant that is actually good and with such kind and staff and owner.
The fish was so fresh and not at all what I expected. The 4 appetizer plates were delicious and was a perfect amount for a group of 7 girls. The bulgogi plate was a nice addition to what we had. I will alway be returning here whenever we visit Idyllwild!

Best sushi in Idyllwild. Fish is fresh, soups are warm and comforting. It can get backed up during the busy season but they are quick to respond and always come through!
