The atmosphere is very nice and it was actually really clean. The food was okay -- our queso was just so watery. The chips had no salt on them, too. Finally, the bartender made it so obvious he was upset for not getting a tip for pouring a drink while I'm standing right there. Pretty ridiculous, and why I rated the service 3. All other employees were super professional.

Seriously, this bowl serving size is the best you could do? Where is the rice, where is the double meat. Order through door dash, around 4:18 pm on 1/14/24 order corfirmed. Who prepped it Ridiculous. Find who prepped such a small serving.

We enjoyed the Mexican food at Illegal Pete’s. The Baja Fish tacos and bowls were very good and something that differentiates this restaurant from other restaurants such as Chipotle or Qdoba. The value of the dishes were also pretty good for the price. We will be back again.

(Edit - One year later we thought we would give it another try. Seven people in line and what looked like 12 people working behind the counter, after 15 minutes of standing in this short line we finally left. And this will be the last time we ever try it. Management just doesn't understand how to serve customers. It's absolutely terrible how long you have to wait for an It's absolutely terrible how long you have to wait for a simple burrito . Edit- a month later waaaay worse! Downgrading review. 25 minute line due to sloooow service. Line down the sidewalk not due to popularity, but taking 7 minutes per person.) Good food but the slowest service in town. If there are six people in line when you walk in the front door, go somewhere else because it's a 30 minute line. The attached photo is a 45 minute line. They are killing themselves. But credit where credit is due, the food is great and the people are always friendly.

Everything was great except the taquitos. It’s usually fire and drenched in cheese but we legit ordered half and half taquitos with cheese and got fried rolled tortillas with almost no filling and practically no cheese.

If I could give 10 stars I would! My very first time trying this place was yesterday morning on my lunch break (Jan 3rd) and they exceeded all expectations. I didn't really have any expectations I was just hoping that the food didn't make me nauseous because I'm in my 1st trimester and finding food that's delicious, filling and food that stays down is very hard right now. I ate Chipotle and it made me nauseous instantly but after eating here I was totally fine which is a relief. Not only is the food amazing and super fresh the workers were beyond amazing. I'm sad I didn't get their names but they were more than patient with me as I was new and they were so kind and down to earth. Bonus* they gave me a discount which was such a blessing 🙌🏿 I'm so glad I found them i will NEVER go back to Chipotle. Thank you both for providing amazing costumer service and having delicious fresh food.
