I recently discovered a one-of-a-kind speakeasy secretly nestled on Union Ave in the prime Cow Hollow area of San Francisco, and it offered one of the best experiences the city has to offer. On a Tuesday evening, the venue was bustling with professionals, creating an elegant and lively atmosphere. Although reservations are highly recommended due to their popularity, we were fortunate enough to wait in the stylish bar area until we were seated. Our evening unfolded beautifully with expertly crafted top-shelf drinks, delectable appetizers, and ultimately, a sumptuous dinner. Each cocktail was visually stunning and perfectly balanced in flavor, while the appetizers were a delightful prelude to the meal, bursting with unique and magical tastes. A special thanks to Marie, whose attentive and accommodating service ensured our experience was not only exquisite but also comforting and inviting. Her dedication truly set this speakeasy apart. We were so impressed that we decided to stay for dinner and are already planning to return with more friends to share this upscale dining haven. Whether you’re seeking a sophisticated night out or a cozy spot to unwind, this hidden gem on Union Ave is the perfect choice. Thank you to the entire team, especially Marie, for making our night truly special. We can’t wait to return!

Left Door Bar is one of those spots that feels hidden in plain sight. The vibe is super chill—dim lighting, candles, and a cozy atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in for the night.

The cocktails are the real deal—thoughtfully crafted and packed with flavor. The pink one with the foam was smooth and refreshing, and the one with the lime garnish hit just right. We also had some oysters, which were fresh and served with lemon and sauce.

The service was friendly and attentive. If you’re into good drinks, good vibes, and a space that feels effortlessly cool, this is the place to check out!

Secret, speakeasy vibe on the second floor above a historic SF sports / dive bar. The space is dark and sultry and the cocktails are divine. We loved the boujee totchos as a snack

Nice place in general, but I will not give 5 stars. Parking is off street. Food is good and ample. Customer service is good but the issue mostly with very much needed reservation. If you want to save yourself embarrassment and useless waiting, call a head of time and make a reservation.

Atmosphere is good but can be very loud. Otherwise the vibe is good snd casual.

doesn’t live up to the hype. drinks were expensive and below average, while being so expensive. too loud and packed to be a speakeasy. regret going and felt robbed lol.

the marg: tasted like a plain marg and couldn’t taste any of the rice notes

I came here randomly after dinner with some friends and this might be the hottest new bar to hit Cow Hollow. It feels like a members-only speakeasy because there are no signs out front. There's a bouncer in front of an unmarked door who lets you up the stairs after checking your ID. It's right above Bus Stop (same owners)

When we finally came to the top of the steps, I was just in awe. It felt like one of those NYE members-only clubs because it was a small, cozy space, there was a live Dj, and the decor was giving sophisticated, stylish, old money vibes. Plus the food and drinks were expensive, which is appropriate for how cool of a space you're at.
We ordered a bunch of drinks, and these are definitely more spirit-forward. I prefer a more sweet drink (I got The Bamboo with pandan tincture because the Filipino in me couldn't resist a good Pandan flavor), so next time I might go for a different drink.

They apparently also have food here! They have high-end options like caviar and aged a5 wagyu bites, but also classic ones like a charcuterie board. We came from dinner, so we didn't order food, but next time l'd love to!

Definitely make a reservation because we walked in ano had to hover around until a lounge spot cleared up that wasn't reserved. It does get loud too, but as the night winds down it becomes pretty chill. You gotta check it out!

Exceptional cocktails in a discreet, cozy atmosphere above the not-exactly-discreet, not-exactly-cozy Bus Stop. It’s all about duality.

Disappointed by poor service because I clearly explained I had a medical service dog (professionally trained cardiac alert dog) but was still threatened to “keep the dog in a bag” in order to be allowed to stay. Absurd treatment. Upon explaining the dog’s service animal status that should have been end of convo instead sever needed to ‘check with manager’ then still had the audacity to tell me the dog could not sit normally by my side to provide her medically-necessary service. This is illegal and discriminatory and unacceptable. Good drinks, food and vibe though ?‍♂️
