Dank and way Over-Priced !! Just spending a week in town, so no bias involved. Hard to find the drive/entrance. Surrounded by homeless folks (which is fine, just FYI). A lot of booze sitting on low-level tables, making the inventory an easy mark for Big Butts.. so tread wisely !! Looking for my Lunazul Tequila, which the store had, but only the small bottles, which were over $25 !! which is what I normally pay for the large, 1.5l bottles. I left, refusing to pay that crazy price... went up the road and found Smitty's. The small bottle of Lunazul, by comparison, was $21. A big difference! But Smitty's had the larger bottles for $40.. a bargain considering Colorado taxes.

The will likely get 99.9% of my business because they don't hassle me. I get in and out, and often leave with a smile cause the people are so chill. Plus the prices are decent, the selection is good, and I love the funny play on words on their signage.

We were in town from the East Coast and called Liquid Assets to see if they could accommodate a pre-prepared order due to COVID-19. As I called, I expected a "no" or an annoyed response, but it was the opposite. I was amazed at the customer service and they were more than willing to accommodate during this difficult time, with the owner himself gathering the order in advance with fantastic selections to avoid increased store time. I was able to talk to the incredibly friendly owner as he described in detail the local beers and talked me through the best wines. I have never left a review before, but felt extremely compelled to write this as I was so impressed with not only the quality of their products and recommendations, but their care and service for their customers. If I am ever lucky enough to return to the Cortez area, I will be sure to pick up some more incredible brews and wine from Liquid Assets--and when this is all over, I hope to be able to shake the owner's hand. Thanks for all - 11/10!

Never thought I would post a review for a liquor store but they were very friendly, knowledgeable and made a great recommendation that saved me money yet tasted as good as they said it would. They made quite an impression in the 10 minutes I was in the store.

Unfair to ask my opinion as I've been doing business with Liquid Assets for over 20 years. Great, dingy, old-school liquor store with genuinely interesting and knowledgeable staff.

The emo dude was a real a tool. Denied us servis for asking simple questions. All around rude Service. I would suggest you go to port in bottle right across the street I guarantee you she has a better attitude about helping customers
