My experience wasn't extremely horrible. My only complaints are that we got there with a reservation for 11:30 a.m. There was only 1 other table of 3 in the whole restaurant. We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to get our food. Waited an hour before our order was taken and drinks were given. The food came out cold. Ordered the salmon bites and shrimp and grits. The Grits were a huge hard clump of sadness. The salmon bites description didn't match what was on the paper menu given to us, and we were charged more than what was listed on the menu. We were visiting from Houston, TX. The manager was extremely nice and helpful. We didn't send our food back. We stuck it out since we had already waited that long and didn't complain.. We had time to waste since we had a late flight. I don't see myself recommending this place or visiting again when I'm in the area. Oh, and the Arnold Palmer was $7, which was insane to me, especially seeing how it was sitting on the counter in these pitchers. We did get to play uno while we waited, which made the time we waited not be super annoying

The drinks were delicious. The fried green tomatoes were seasoned to perfection. Wonderful atmosphere to go along with great music. Will definitely be back again when visiting Colorado.

I’ve been a loyal customer for many years. This year I pitched for our Christmas party to be held at the Fountain location. Several people had not eaten there before and they loved it! I asked my son if he wanted to swing by after work to join us and he did not hesitate for a second. Flavorful amazing food super great vibe! Chef Lucas and her team are phenomenal! I dream about the fried catfish. I mean it I literally dream about it. It’s so delicious.

I absolutely LOVE this place! This was my first time going, and I loved every bit of my experience. The owner is an absolutely amazing fellow black woman and you can really taste her passion within every bite; her energy, professionalism, courtesy and beaming smile made for a truly exceptional experience. I left there informing her that I truly would love to be her friend! If you haven't yet experienced this fine dining gem, what on earth are you doing with yourself?!?! I would recommend this spot to EVERYONE, so please go check it out and thank me later!! 🔥🧡🥰

As this was my first visit, I was unable to tell if it is always this loud and unable to have a conversation at the table. Now on to the food. I had the hand battered fried catfish with fries and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was good. The catfish was good. The fries, on the other hand, were to salty to eat.

Update!
My husband, our sons and I came in for lunch today. It seemed pretty slow with one server/bartender. We had such a great experience today! My husband got the shrimp and grits, I got the Mac & cheese with chicken and Brussels, and our boys had the fish nuggets. The first words out of my husbands mouth was “Now this is what I’m talking about!” The food was so good. It came out super hot and fast. We’re so glad we were able to try Luchals again. Our boys loved the catfish nuggets.

Original Review:
My husband and I have been wanting to try Luchals since we saw they were coming to fountain. We are very disappointed and not impressed. We ordered take out around 4pm. It smelled so good but once we opened the food we were worried. It did not look appealing at all and look like very small portions.

My husband got the Cajun pasta. It was a small portion for $24. It had nice spice to it but not much of a flavor profile.

I got the fried chicken plate with Brussels sprouts and macaroni and cheese. The chicken looked like it was fried in the wrong batter and old oil but was very tender. The Brussels sprouts had no flavor but the pickles onions made them better. The macaroni and cheese was ok, it kinda tasted a little sweet.

We also got the crab fries to share. There was a really nice amount of crab but the fries were not great. They were soggy and the seasoning wasn’t great.

We saw so many amazing reviews and couldn’t wait to try it but I’m not sure if we will be back.
