This was my first experience going to a restaurant alone and it was amazing. My food and drinks were absolutely perfect - I highly recommend the salmon and a chai old fashioned. But my favorite part was my server, Kelly. She was just the right amount of attentive and was genuinely kind to me. I feel like sometimes you go to a restaurant and you can tell the servers are only being nice because they have to... this was not the case with my server at all. She made me feel comfortable even though I was nervous to be eating alone, and she took the time to sit with me and talk. She even wrote me a list of bars to visit because I mentioned I was going bar hopping the next night. She congratulated me on my new job and went above and beyond to make sure I felt special. I owe her a thousand thank yous. Next time I'm in Durango, I will be sure to be back. If you see this Kelly, you're the best and thank you again!

We were here for the Four corners motorcycle rally. Got here right when they opened and must say cocktails and steak were on point! Service was great and I ordered the peppered filet which was cooked perfectly. My SO had the lamb and he said his was really good too. Will definitely eat here again if we ever come back to Durang, Co.

A fine dining experience right on Main Street in Durango. We arrived at 5 pm and were seated promptly without a reservation. Our server was very attentive throughout the meal, and the manager also checked on us as well as the other patrons.
I had the elk tenderloin with cherry demi sauce, and it was phenomenal. It was served with a small sweet potato and mixed vegetables. One friend had a surf and turf, and another had a steak. Everyone enjoyed their main course. However, one friend was not satisfied with her loaded potato. She said it was cold, and when she added additional butter, it didn't melt because of it being cold.
For dessert, we had a cheesecake that was creamy and delicious and the toffee cake. It had a beautiful presentation with warm toffee, vanilla ice cream, and whip cream. The cake was not my favorite, but overall, we enjoyed our dining experience.

Fabulous dining experience! The staff was great and the food was incredible. We had the salmon and the elk tenderloin and honestly you can’t go wrong with either.
Obviously a bottle of wine and dessert fit the occasion.
Many options in Durango but this one is definitely a fine dining experience.

We literally stumbled into the Mahagoni Grille and were delighted. The Elk was phenomenal, Scalloped potatoes were sinfully good, My wife's halibut excellent - as a matter of fact: we had to splurge on a bottle of Silver Oak Cab to match the food adequately.
Service was excellent (knowledgeable about wine etc), non rushed and attentive.

We made reservations thinking we would be seated and served in a timely manner, but we ran into a bus group that overwhelmed the restaurant. No fault of theirs except they could have planned that large group seating better. Our dinner was what we expected even though it took over an hour to get our main course of Elk Tenderloin. Our server Rachel was very attentive, but the kitchen was simply overwhelmed with so many orders all going in at once. This is a beautiful restaurant with polite and courteous staff.

Hostess seated us quickly w/o reservations (thank you) she was friendly and our server, Charlie was fantastic. He answered all our questions and was very accommodating during our meal! I had the rainbow trout and it was A-mazing! Delicious & perfectly cooked. My baked potato was a little dry but it wasn’t the end of the world. Hubby had the rigatoni and that was good as well. Love the atmosphere here in the Strader Hotel! It’s magical 🧙‍♀️ Prices are reasonable given the area and you won’t leave disappointed. The portions are perfect!
