If I could put negative stars for the server I would. The kitchen forgot multiple items in 3 of our dishes. After us asking for these items the sever felt the need to mock us to another server with in ear shot of out table. The gravy for the Poutine was off in so many ways…… not the same quality as before. The host was 100% on point he was Awesome!!!

This place was good. Had good food, good waiters, good beer. About the only thing that was good this last time I went was the beer. The waiter lied about their pretzel bites, I got served pizza balls and when I asked he said it was the same recipe for the past 3 years, yet I've been here several times in the past several months and it was always pretzels bread. I ask for medium rare on my burger and I get well done. Unless this was a bad night, avoid this place
I'm not impressed.

Came on a Sunday night, it was not busy at all. Server was inattentive and had to wait 20 min with my card in hand for her to come over so I could pay.. Food is very bland. Nothing special. They give you ten french fries in a metal basket. Looks neat, but if I'm paying $25 for a mediocre burger I want more fries or a better side. Beer list is not good. They need to re-think their food and drinks. Won't be back.

Edit to add - after recommending to a friend who said it was god awful, we've given it a couple tries because everyone has an off night. With more than a year coming here, at least once to twice a month minus a short hiatus the past two months. I'm sad to say: the food has been hit or miss. The menu changes they've made have been for the worse to include the god awful hard to read font, and half the time what you do order is just okay for the price. I like cheese, but the cheese pizza was death by cheese, and the dough was literally drowned in it. The beer is good when it's good and straight up awful when it's bad. Tonight, two of three beers were flat and skunked. The service was alright when the waitress wasn't swamped. Atmosphere still on point for what it is. A brewery sports bar esque place you can take your kids too and not worry too much. So long as you're okay with them being out of the staples that everyone orders and likes. Then again, if you do like something, that's probably the first thing they'll cut when they do their next menu change.

Original - The atmosphere and staff are so nice, even when it's busy. We have been a few times now, and they haven't let us down yet. The beer and food are on point.

I used to like this place but the menu and management keeps changing. After a hour wait, Dinner tonight was terrible. Chicken sandwich tasted like old fryer grease, burgers were briquettes. Ordered a burger without cheese and it was wrong so they took it back scraped off the cheese and flipped it over and brought it back out. Server was actually very nice and they did comp food but I won’t go there again except for a beer. To bad as a local I really want it to be good.

This will be a two part review.... 06/05/21
We called ahead and asked if a party of 12 could be accommodated, we were told yes and I let our other party know.
My coworker was visiting her son and his family who are newly stationed here and she was returning home that night, and I arrived Friday evening to visit my kids who are also stationed here in Alaska. We thought this would be a great way to introduce them and strike up a new friendship.
1: We arrived and were waiting for our tables to be ready, we were taken upstairs to the bar and to our surprise tge tables were not able to move so our party of twelve were seated at 3 different tables defeating the purpose of or families talking to each other and interacting together.
2: Our orders were taken and then began the wait, our drinks took a bit as well, although I will say the Whiskey Sour I ordered was very good. The food finally came for some of the tables, we ordered more pretzel bites and those came to the table before the two other Food orders arrived. Sadly the orders were not placed until it was too late as my coworker needed to be at the airport. When the food Finally arrived it was time to leave.
The food was Amazing and you get plenty, I truly wish the rest of our party had been able to experience that.
On another note they have a different section outdoors with ax throwing, live band and food. We may give that a try.

I recommend, but just be prepared to wait.

Check out the pic of a fried piece of fish. This is known as calamari at Matanuska Brewing. It looked like halibut to me. It was definitely halibut. Good atmosphere and good drinks. Service is nothing special. Our waitress didn't know the menu, or what calamari is.
